how do you tell when a plant is ready to start the flower light stage
By age and by plant development.how do you tell when a plant is ready to start the flower light stage
I'm using hps and mh lights one plant is about 1.5 foot tall one is bout 8" tallThese guys are right of course. Keep in mind just how much light power you'll be throwing at it in flower. It wouldnt do you much good to grow a 6 foot tree if all you have to flower it with is a couple of CFL bulbs or somethin'.
Plants are 100% ready for flowering when they start to show preflowers.how do you tell when a plant is ready to start the flower light stage
What is a clear sign of preflower?Plants are 100% ready for flowering when they start to show preflowers.
"A plant will only tell you its ready to flower if its an auto" that is a incorrect statement...The first statement you made is very true when you flower directly corresponds with the height that you're limited to and the light of course...But if you have unlimited height and good light you can be 100% sure your plants are ready to flower when they start to show preflowers like I previously stated...And since I do a 60 day Veg from seed I almost always see preflowers before I begin to flower.By the height you have to grow in,a plant will only tell you its ready to flower if its a auto,we are god in the room we make the nights and days
Yup
I do absolutely zero pruning in veg.And what should be taken off to prune?
In flower?I do absolutely zero pruning in veg.
I have one plant that is not ready flower can i keep the larger plant in veg till my other one is ready?
Do I prune in flowering, yes...In flowering I do what I call selective defoliation...I wouldn't suggest pruning or defoliation of anything if you are a beginner...You can keep the larger plant in veg until your other one is ready but if you do decide to do that you might want to LST the larger plant to keep it from growing way bigger than the other plant because in the end you want to try to achieve an even canopy meaning you want all plants to be the same height if possible.I have one plant that is not ready flower can i keep the larger plant in veg till my other one is ready?
