How do you behave when you go to restaurants?

You ate every last bite but it wasn't any good... Riiiight"

Now this is a big No No in our the industry.. The costumer is always right bullshit.

But unfortunately these kind of people do this once and they think can go anywhere and do this and keep coming back..We call them Janky..

So my question is how do you treat you server/bartenders? If they fuck up your order, if they don't refill your drink instantly, or even if they did your order perfect but you feel it's not your job to pay them that should be on the business not you..

Lots of people don't realize servers only make 2.13 a hour.. but realistically we make anywhere between 15 to 30 and sometimes even more.. usually I make about 20 on average.. but if you don't tip I don't make shit, and actually I have to tip out, so if you don't tip, I have to pay for waiting on you..

Is it a flawed system? One thing to realize is if we made a regular hourly wage the price of the food would go up 15% to make up for the restaurant labor cost..

I never complain about wait service, because I know the people need their jobs. And I like to tip well for good service. Bu I think food service people should be paid $15 per hour at least.

I complained one time when I waited over an hour for my food to arrive. The restaurant was really crowded, but an hour? I complained and left.

I complained one night that my Margarita seemed "weak". I got another one, and it was weak too. The next time I came to that restaurant, the bartender had been fired because lots of people complained that his drinks were too weak.

One time when I was young I didn't leave a tip that was big enough for the waiter, and he told me so. Yes he did. I didn't realize 15% was what people are supposed to leave.

i worked back of house for 13 years?..10-13 something like that, at a very high class restaurant, lucky position really , but i did have to get a license to do alcohol because i often filled in for servers.
the best thing you can do is just be happy its over, shitty lucky, asshole customers they come and go sometimes it really sucks
such is the life in the restaurant business or lots of customer service businesses

I was on vacation at a margaritaville, her choice not mine, and it was jammed packed. we were sat and patiently waited for our server. another 8 top was sat shortly after us and BAM servers at their call. they get their drinks before we even put our drink order in. I let him know it had been close to 15 min that weve been sitting, he apologizes, and we put our food order in along with our drinks. he turns directly to the table to take their appetizer order. our drinks arrive via another server at the same time they are getting their appetizer.

longer story slightly shorter, I end up waiting another 10/15 min for cheese that was supposed to come with my fish tacos because he was busy brown nosing the larger party for the inevitable larger tip. cold cheese on now cold tacos, the guy gets a LIFE tip written on the receipt. LERN TO SERF FUUD. the fucker comes out to the gift shop area and asks me what the problem was. I blew up and told him exactly what we experienced. after several excuses, a higher up hears/sees this interaction and asks us whats going on, I lay it out for him too. snag the receipt from servers hand and give it to him. He asks his server if he really tracked us down to ask about his tip. couple food and drink vouchers later, I kinda feel like an asshole, but it was by far the shittiest service ive had.

other than that, I'm usually a 25%'er. higher if I'm there for drinks. usually ask the bartender their fav drink, then I order from there. if the bartender doesn't like bloodies, then good chance I wont like theirs.

I'll leave 20-25% if good service. 10-15 if not.

I grew up on farms and then when I turned 16 I went to work for a steak house.

Nothing like 30 tickets hanging and your head spinning. I could keep it together.

The misses and I are considering open a burger and chili joint. Nothing but grass fed beef. Shooting for first of the year. Free downtown delivery.

I'm completely up front with the people who wait on me right from the start.
By that I mean...I tell them that I tip well (and I do) and if my service is outstanding their tip will reflect that. I have no problem paying for outstanding service and on the flipside I have no problem going to management to complain about something that's affected my experience at their establishment especially if it's not the servers fault. Hell, I was a waiter many,many moons ago so I KNOW how tough the job can be

My grandpa would always put a huge stack of money on the table and tell the waiter "that's all yours if you're fantastic. Every mistake you make I take one bill off the pile".

I always thought he was such an asshole.

fuk eating out in shity restaurants I used to work in the kitchens and saw everything, one chef used to wipe his arse on the steaks b4 he cooked them, best tip a customer can give a waiter is get a another job, fuk being polite to scumbags who don't know how to use cutlery lol

I would be more worried about wiping a raw steak on my asshole, that's asking for some fucked up disease

When I was young and worked in the industry, we were professional, but we would spit on or jerk off on an asshole's food. I don't eat out anymore because kids do it for their own amusement now. Nobody cares about anyone except themselves. This country is fucked.

Oh yeah, in HS we went on a field trip to a local college, fucked around campus and then some kinda orientation meeting in the campus cafeteria. Couple hundred high school kids screwing around, jerkin off into the condiments and shit. It was great

I've worked plenty of food jobs and never once did that, and I had plent if shitty customers, it's takes a real pos to do that to someone's food imo
