Big thanks to ViiRed for suggesting I use the 'Lucas Formula' for the nutrients I am using GHE nutes wth the following ratio at the moment 0-5-10 (per gallon) Works great! Check out the rpogress in 6 days below...

I Just gotta say to anyone thinking of growing for the first time to make sure you do all your research before investing on equipment - I spent at least 2 months getting together all the info I needed before I even germinated a seed & that prep has now paid off... well for now anyway..

Big thanks also this forum it has been so helpful & I mean really really helpful this is the only place you will need to research if you are thinking of a doing a grow.

After 6 days flowering on 12/12 with 400w HPS:

More pics to follow as grow progresses....

Thanks... I'm worried they will outgrow their grow space! they have only been in there 10 days or so & already they taken up half the height of my budbox! should I worry too much about that now?...

Cheers Midgradeindasouth - I will do that... When should I worry about topping esp FIM technique?

DAMN! Thanks Babygro - I thought I'd left it too late... I can take clones from these though can't I? they will revert back to vegetaive growth if I put them under 16/8?...

Here are some pics from today (9th May)- I cannot, for the life of me, work out the bloody macro on my camera... there's is a nice focus of a thumb in there somewhere...so apologies...

More updates soon... Watch This Space (cadet?)

What are you growing in? Is that a store bought growroom? If so...where'd you get it? And how much did it cost you? It looks really effective.

And since I see your light there...I just ordered mine its due in tomorrow. 400w HPS. Hanging the light....what are you using? Anything special? Will regular ole' clothesline be strong enough to hang the light I ordered?

You can take clones from them, but it's not ideal, you really ought to take your clones in vegetative growth, not flowering - it stresses the plant and diminishes the genetic integrity of the clones.

Really nice healthy looking plant Ed, good luck with the rest of your grow.

Hi - I am growing it in a spare room but in a BUDBOX that I purchased from Ebay for about £130 ($260) The hydroponic unit I bought is called a AQUAFARM made by GHE. Here is all the stuff I got from this store & yes it is very effective - The whole set up cost me near £400 ($800) as I had a bit of luck with some winnings I was able to be a bit lavish! But it has def paid off so far... Here is the equipment & prices

Greenfields Hydroponics UK - AquaFarm Kits

Greenfields Hydroponics UK - BudBox Grow Tent 1.0m x 1.0m x 2.0m

Greenfields Hydroponics UK - CuttingBoard Propagator

Greenfields Hydroponics UK - LightWing Fluorescent Unit Complete

Since buying all the equipment I could have done without the Cutting Board & the big Fluro as they are cheaper in hardware stores etc + I also made a hydro unit from scratch (see below) it cost me approx £8 ($16) to make including the electric aquarium pump (not pictured) Bucket is black (5l black to stop light reaching roots) Just hook up a airstone to the end of airline & make hole in lid, attach to pump & Voila! Your own hydro set up for less than $20! - I also use GHE nutes that came with the Aquafarm...

To hang the light washing line will be fine, I use some real strong nylon string/rope - chains are just a pain in the ass I found, so reverted to strong rope/string/line etc..

I thought that was the case - Okay thanks Babygro I will do that with my next grow (seedlings already 2 weeks into grow) so hopefully I will have a continuous harvest of some sort.. I will keep you updated for sure - Thanks for all your help.

Great information, Ed! Much appreciated. I am extremely interested in using a hydro setup. I dont know that much about the process....But my concern was that I'd need to hook it up to sometype of waterline...which I cant do since Im in an apt.

If Im wrong...Let me know. Just by looking at the setups Ive seen....I thought a watersource was needed to be plugged into it.

Ive looked in the GrowFaqs but didnt find a "beginners guide" for hydro growing. It looked like you should already hav a basic undersanding of the process....which I dont.

If someone could provide a link...other than what is in the GrowFaqs I'd really appreciate it.

Hi - You don't need a constant fresh water supply on tap if that's what you're worried about?.. You just top up the reservoir or bucket or whatever water vessel you use with pa balanced water every now & then maybe a little nutes from time to time I'm sure if you search for 'DWC' (deep water culture) or hydro setups you'll get some good results on here...

This is my 1st grow & went straight for the jugguler with the hydro instead of soil so I'm still learning!

All the info I needed I found on here or googled it - If I find any good info on hydro set-ups I will post it here for you.

Laterz dude

Soil is easier as far as I'm aware, but has it's drawbacks mainly the time factor... Hydro's a bit more tricky but results are more vigorous..

The hydro bucket system I built for £8 ($16) and that can house a plant from veg stage & flowering stage with no risk of shock to the roots - also transplanting from hydro into another hydro set-up is easy & the roots suffer no stress at all (well mine didn't anyway)

Good luck!
