How do you behave when you go to restaurants?

i just dont understand tipping.
why should i tip for service?..its not my fault peeps will work for 2.15 a hour.
nutt up and walk out. the owner will have to pay up or serve it him self.
I am assuming you have never worked in the industry.. It is to cut cost so your food is cheaper.. most restaurants profit margins are very slim, so as a guest you pay less for the food. You have to consider labor cost. If the restaurant didn't paid a hourly wage your food cost 15 to 20% more so you would literally be forced to pay that tip regardless.. So with that being said which would rather have?

I heard about that, how they have attempted to do that at all of their chain stores. guess it hasn't gone over too well with the employees, kinda saw that one coming. Their hourly would have to be over 20+/hr which didn't happen apparently.
I can't speak for the company nationally, but where I live, it attracted the wrong crowd of people. They couldn't keep servers the turn over rate was unreal, what I heard was that they cut everyones hours to 20 to 22 per week.. basically all the servers left and they tried to hire new employees that thought 10 a hour was a great deal, then the turn over rate got worse.. and it only took a couple months then they closed.. Texas pays less then most northern states hourly..

Servers hustle for tips, you take away the hustle, service goes to shit..

its a bit like not buying stuff made by kids in 3 rd world countries, if u do the whole virtual slavery continues, by not tipping you are liberating them...eventually

Servers do to tip best by far.. tonight I took out a waitress from my job on a date and tipped 30 on a 40 dollar tab, but I am also fucking the bartender that waited on us.. a ten dollar tab I tip 10 on a $20 tab I tip 10 to 20.. But you have to understand these are friends and when I wait on them it's the same shit.. if I have no idea who they are I tip a little less but on average I usually tip 50%.. but I am a badass cook so I usually cook at home. But like tonight it was a first date so we went out.. but I will say this the upper middle class tips best in average which is usually 20%.. and believe me, we are far from slaves bro.. hourly people are the real slaves.. I don't pay real taxes like hourly wage people do, and I basically work for myself.. your logic is flawed

You are what we call Janky.. it's cool that's the beauty of tipping tho.. The real reason you don't tip is because you simply don't care..

So basically you ruined a nice dinner party after feeding them your cabbage and sausages, mate?
lol
Im a very demanding customer, but ill never lick a plate and say right thats waful. if sumat is not up to my liking or what i find the standard is i recquire it gets taken back. Shit couple of months ago in andorra they served me a shitty cured ham i told the mnanager and she was rude and said its what on the menu i stood up left 2 euros for my drink and left. Lol i also told some people going in food here is shit youre getting ripped off and they didnt go in haha, saved somneone fro ma bad meal.
I once asked for a bloody as hell steak and got just below well done, i sent it back they bring me another same condition i asked for the chef and insulted his cooking skills in front of everyone and forced him to take a bite of that shoe sole. He said he didnt want to and i said right im not eating in a restaurant where the chef wont eat the food he serves, stood up and left without even paying my drink.
I always tell what i liked and disliked about a dish and tip according to food quality and always say thats for the cook not you, Im sorry but fuck waiters, all u do is bring drinks and food OTHER PEOPLE PREPARED! Dont feel so high and mighty about oh i deserve tips for bringing things on time and have a shit fake smile on my face. Thats just part of the resaurant experience, thats why your bosses give you money. If waiters any decensy theyd give all their tips to the cooking staff theyre the real heroes man.

just been out to sunday lunch, excellent food and service and I tipped 15 % which is unusual in this country but the place is family run and the food is amazingly good and authentic, but they mark up the food and wine accordingly and pay their staff well presumably as the same faces are there year after year, but I wouldn't tip you lol

tipping is widely a western culture, you dont tip in japan its considered offensive to the staff and the restaurant as well

I have never once fucked with anybody's food. Not even then, nor ever..
never said you did but working in the industry for as long as i have those fucking with food incidents only ever happen when you have a kitchen staff who are not real trained chefs, who didnt go to school for it, and who "cook" by using microwaves

I act great in restaurants, sometimes I get rowdy and what not, but never bug other people.

I've worked in yhe food industry mu whole life. Been server, bartender line cook and also a sous chef.

They usuallu get more mad at me for blatantly selling/usingdrugs. Second best job I ever had was bartending weddings/ social events for a place.

Best I ever had was a carnie type thing. Everyone smoked weed, boss was coool with it and pay was stellar. I maf enough in 2 weeks to take a month off. But 13-16 hour days hurts the body going 2 weeks straight. The women were also plentiful (many being drunks ot meff fiends)

Paying good people what they're worth. Sooner or later, SOMEONE in this country has to figure out it's actually a moneymaking idea!

The last man I dined with who was too selfish to tip for service found himself out of a friend. If you can't figure out why to tip, I don't want you anywhere near me.
