Why Are My Stems Purple?

Was just up in attic n seen my stems are purple is this from it getting to cold at note I been keeping it 68 to 70deg at nite n 72-77 with lights one

purple stems usually mean not enough nitrogen, sometimes it could be just the strain and the cold

Sometimes stems like to be purple for a while. They usually grow out it. It's just a phase their going through.

I'll elaborate on what the above poster's have said, just incase your not satisfied with the answer yet.
Aslong as all your stems are not purple and the growth is not affected then the purple stems are nothing but a different aesthetic atmosphere, you don't need the night temps to drop at all unless your not running 24/0.
So if you have a hygrometer in said attic MAKE SURE the temps are not rising and dropping further than what you are thinking, also if the stems are red more than purple would suggest a deficiency in some nutrients key to healthy plants etc etc try adding some silica based nutrients into your feeding.
That will improve the strength of your plant, and the resistance to disease thus creating less ugly features during growth stages
If you have an oscillating fan on during the lights off period (if you have a lights off period) that may even be the cause due to the amount of cold air being blown all over small plant/s.
All that being said I have 5 indica plants with purple stems in flower ATM and the growth/budding isn't being affected so perhaps its just a small reaction to changes in its enviroments/nutrients etc.

What nutes do u suggest I use I got sum blood meal I can use for nitrogen def also a few leaves are light green with dry brown spots n the one has brown tips

Don't worry about it. Its normal.

Ignore when someone says it is a problem.

Can it be a sign of a problem? Yes but there will be other signs with it.

A pic would be helpful.

Why do you think you need cal mag?

Also purple petioles is a widely debated characteristic. Many say it is a P issue. Some say genetic.
Many are not especially concerned. you can easily find contest winners and iced over pinecones showing purple stems. it often seems to have zero bearing on outcomes

Over the years I've noticed many strains, particularly those with Blueberry in the genetics have purple stems. I'm sure there's situations where the genetics don't play into it and environment may cause it, but imo the majority of it is genetics Here's a cross with JTR and Blueberry I've been working and both phenos I just threw into the flower room have purple stems, the stalks on the one closer to the camera also have purple streaks along the stalks/branches. I was considering culling them but thought wtf, I'll flower them out and work out the purple stem issue later

Without pictures it is hard to determine what that deficiency could be. It is most likely in my opinion with limited information a Magnesium deficiency probably caused by pH imbalance or overwatering.

Ive had guys tell me for years its k def, or calmag. And ive bumped them up and seen no difference. Sometimes its just the color of the plants. Mine are bangin right now and have purple stems. Gdp, sour urkle, huckleberry, jilly bean. Jillybeans kinda reder though. After listening to the guys telling me K and calmag i thought they were full of wannabe bullshit answers too

Well this one couldnt get root bound and i fed it 16-16-16 for most of its life. M

I should rephrase my last comment. Cali O and if I remember right Durban Poison had reddish purple stems that were just a trait of the strain. real finicky strains though

I have a Blackberry trainwreck from cannaventure that seems the same way. only plant in Garden with red stems
