Thanks, so, problem solved98% sure I read someone here say that Cree suggests iso alcohol to use on the COBs. Evaporates quickly and easily available. I used a cotton swab with alcohol to clean mine, no problems.

"You cant buy 99% in France but you can get 95 or 96% and you will find it in leclercs where they have the bottles of acetone and distilled water

I suppose I would use clean, soft cotton or Kimwipes with water. Kimwipes are "Delicate Task Wipers"--paper tissues used in labs.
BonjourHi, i can get this heatsink, will be enough for passive cooling them? (at 30W each), theyre 150x118x34mm, here is a pic.
Thanks, the round one is five time cheaper than the rectangular, and the seller said to me that it's designed for 18W. They will get plenty air flow, they will be munted in the top of the bloom cab celling, with 2 4" 160m3 extraction fans (from bloom cab, to the electric chamber), and one 6" 300m3 fan (from electric chamber to the outside of the house). Im consern about the hole in the middle of the heatsink, if that will create a hotspot on the COB.Bonjour
i would put a small fan on it for longevity!
this one looks better than the round one!

Yes I know, you're right on that, I think I will go for the big one.Bonjour
I guess it is normally the emplacement of a fan.and the hole is to force air thru the hs...but it is more a vgacooler...
With the bigger if the fan fail no problem but with the small one I wouldn't bet on it...if you cool them very well you will keep them longer...yes you gonna run them low but with the price you paid for cob 10 or 20 $ more for cooling will bring you peace of mind (I know mine can't fry even at full power without fan at all...cxb@1400 release 22/24w of heat and I have very big hs but I add 120mm fan to be cold...not cool or warm...cold! to keep it a lifetime (10 year mini...lol!)
