So this is my first grow... And a quick glance at any of my pics will probably make that fact glaringly obvious... ;)

Couple things I ran into in this grow. First- I was NOT prepared to get 8 out of 8 female bag seed... That was unexpected given that I have read in many places that you get about 50/50 female to male.

Anyways... So I had my cabinet set up- got my Sanford and sons light and fan set up going and then went- uhhhh.... What do I do with these ones that won't fit?

So- my solution was neither brilliant or particularly correct according to pretty much everything I have read. I put these plants in my bathroom window and thought- meh- if they grow they grow and if now- I will focus on the others. Well they grew... And kept growing like crazy and now I don't know what to do. My other plants all flowered much more quickly (probably due to a much more controlled light schedule)... But these plants are at least 30-40 days behind... So my thought was when I harvested my "main crop" we'll call it... I was going to stick my remaining late bloomers into the cabinet. Only thing is- I don't know if I should. They have done pretty awesome in that window. Will changing their environment so drastically shock them and anger the cannabis gods? image.jpeg Experienced growers- I need your input. Do I leave them where they are or put them in the cabinet once I harvest round 1? If they go in the cabinet I have a bunch of the 150equiv CFL bulbs that have done pretty well for my other plants. image.jpegimage.jpeg

Putting pics of both locations in feed. The bottom one is the cabinet with my nearly finished crop.

You may have fell very lucky ,and the bag seed that you got the seeds from may have been got from a stressed true female, and may have feminized,it sometime's happens.

I would try and get more of the bud that had the beans in just to have a small check just to see,you have done a great job though to say these have ben done most of the time with out any extra light other than what comes in through a window

Good job!! like others sed try to get more of that weed to c if u find more seeds so u can grow them and get more experience so u are ready for when u decide to buy good genetics, also read some in the topic of how to train plants to get an even canopy, it will help u to maximize the amount of weed that u will get at harvest. But for that conditions AWESOME JOB!! my hat is off to u!!

That is my EXACT theory on how they all ended female... Because it stressed and self pollinated with nanner... Since no males around to add the less fair sex's dna into the mix.... Female seeds!

As far as light- these guys had plenty as seeds and little sprouts- but as time went on and they all got bigger I had to quickly come up with plan B... So basically for the last 3/4 of my window gals life has been with just the sun and a mylar blanket hung behind it. My thought process was that so much the light coming in was getting wasted and going right by the plants... So I figured even if it reflected only part of it, it would help. Heres a pic of that nonsense...image.jpg

That window grow would scare me to death-people look in windows
I actually did luck out in that respect. We live on a conservation, which this window faces. Between that and the bathroom privacy glass there would be no way to see what I was growing exactly even if people did go back there.. (Which they don't). I frankly never considere a windowsill grow as an option because I assumed based on everything I read that it wouldnt be enough light... Im thinking this may be the way to go if I can make it work... Save even more money and not have to constantly be moving lights and such... I wonder if the potency of these windowsill buds may be effected. That will be the true test I guess...

Thanks! Yeah I paid a LOT more attention to my cab girls... These poor window gals had no lst no topping no nothing... I did give them water and nutes along with the others. But the funny thing is- looking at the buds on the window plants- the yield is going to be no comparison... Those plants are gonna throw a much bigger yield come harvest time... The buds are huge in comparison! And lol- no getting any more from that guy... it was a squirrly friend of a friend thing because dude 1 was out and blah blah... But I still have some more seeds- thank God I didnt plant all 15! By then hopefully I will have gotten my paws on some high CBD, low THC seeds for my sons medicine. Will keep ya posted :)

I also wonder if the fact that I used plastic pots on my cab girls made a difference. I designed and sewed the ones in the windowsill out of duck cloth canvas and made velcro opening hatches on the bottoms for transplanting if I needed. I wonder how much the increaed airflow to the roots impacted how much bigger my window buds got... Seem like a good theory?

I would move those lights to the window, perhaps build your cabinet into a window box. I used those clamp lights for side lighting with an LED on top, in a tent. I took off the reflector and screwed in a splitter, had two 23 watters in each lamp.

Starting to think this is the way to go and use my cabinet for drying/curing... :).
