never used a bottle but between fresh from the plant, and the powder i've used... the fresh plant is the best result. @2tbsp/gal with the bottle stuff, you're gonna get 16 gal of water outta 6$... which is kinda overpriced IMO. but that stuff looks ok. i'd get the comfrey leaf you were looking at.

Ok Ill just buy a plant Nd grow it out.
Is Comfrey used as an amendment or for teas?
 
I got antsy today and built a flow-through stackable worm farm. It's not completely finished yet because I need to get some BCX plywood and make a lid and fabricate a collection/sifting tray for the bottom. For now it has little feet to lift it up a 1/2 inch for air flow. I'm going to use a Rubbermaid lid from a 20 gallon tote to cover the top while I make the real wooden lid. It's expandable, all I have to do is make more trays. And I will as soon as I find more time to tinker with it. I want worms in the 10,000's so I'll probably add 4-6 more trays Or build another. Actually, I have been leaning heavily towards this make (wood and stacked) for quite a while. :-P

Are you going to put it inside or outside?
How large are the holes in the, er, not chicken wire?
And what will happen when the burlap rots?

Thanks, if you have the tools to construct a farm from wood then I would highly suggest that route. I am very happy with mine so far. I haven't had 1 single worm attempt to escape. Just make sure to check moistire levels daily and have a spray bottle on hand with pH neutral water.

The screen is almost identical to chicken wire but it's plastic. I think the holes are slightly smaller but I really I choose it because it's plastic and I don't like the idea of metal rusting or oxidizing.

The burlap.... well yes it will rot, and that's exactly why I used it. It's a carbon source and the worms will eventually eat it. I was unsure on the larger worms being able to get through it and So i cut the burlap to be a 1/2" smaller than the inside diameter leaving a opening. To my suprise even the largest Canadian nightcrawler can squeeze through the burlap.
This bin will always stay inside. I have a very large basement and honestly i have the room to build a small commercial farm and go into the worm biz, so I can definitely expand. I just picked up (15) more 2x4x14 boards and (2) 4x8 sheets of BCX plywood. I was thinking of making 7 foot long Trough style beds instead of my square style. All in time tho-

They have that at walmart right? I was going to grab it but was told I shouldnt. I ended up buying 200x aloe vera powder.

What is that res for? Thats a commander xxxl bin huh, I use them for my worm bin.

I like it alot actually. The higher blues make the nodes tighter and promotes greater leaf growth. If you need then to stretch out a little bit between nodes then raise the light a few inches.

4300k is good as a transition bulb for the last week of veg and the first 2 of flower. It helps keep the stretch down while incouraging leafy growth, but with a greater dominance in the orange/red. This is how you increase your flower site count and establish the base platform for donkey dick colas.

Switch out to a red/far red led booster or a HPS on the 3rd week of flower and watch as she crank out buds

Not to cause flak, but to each their own. Vit C (citric acid) is not harmful in anyway. Cannabis actually does require it but in very small amounts. If I'm adding 1 tbsp/gallon, the dilution ratio solves the formentioned dreaded VitC. Plus it doesn't kill microbes, it stalls them, and only in high enough concentrations.
If citric acid was that bad for organic horticulture it wouldn't be marketed and commercially sold as an ORGANIC PH DOWN.

The 200x powder is good and it makes alot of pure RTU aloe juice. But in the meantime buy an actual aloe plant and grow it out. Fresh is best-

The bin is an HDX brand from home depot. They're 27 gallon but my float valve is set to 20. I use it as a water res. Keeps my water at 63F and I have it plumbed to my automated 350 gpd RODI system. I have a 24/7 continuous meter monitoring the levels temp. I dose my res to 150 ppm of cal/mag @6.5pH. 20 gallons on demand at all times.
