Actually USA had to confirm to the creditors there not drilling and using lands they used as collateral to secure loans to begin with lets not forget all the wet lands and other protected places you as a citizen cannot enter

This means we borrow to pay the interest which means the existing debt is compounding. It doesn't take an expert to realize the eventual results of that. If we continue to spend more than we take in, the U.S. government is heading for an eventual collapse.

The dollar has been supported by being the exchange medium for oil. There is a growing movement to change that to another currency, or gold. When that happens, the effect on the dollar could be disastrous.
