My plant is a little different than most and I can't really tell where to top it. See pictures below. I'm grateful for any help.

Hey Brankins. Looks like that plant was started as a clone (i.e. not started from seed), right ? You could probably still top that beast, but clones tend to grow asymmetrically so you won't get the same even, uniform growth you would if topping a plant grown from seed. That said, you can probably cut off the "growth tip" of the main stem of your plant and it will be fine. In your first and second pictures there is a fan leaf that is sticking almost straight up. You can cut the main stem so it ends just above where that fan leaf joins and you'll be good to go.

Also, that www.growweedeasy.com site is the BEST! It's the perfect place to start getting a grasp on this "hobby". It won't make you an expert, but it'll help you get the ball rolling.

Good luck! :peace:

Thanks for your super detailed reply :D I'm still not exactly sure what you mean by growth tip. I have a picture below with colored lines. What one is the closest to the cut I should make? Once again thank a ton!

I love that website been looking around. Its awesome!

Hey Braskin. No problem, happy to help. The growth tip is what's growing at the very end of the main stem. In your pic, the red line is drawn across the growth tip. The blue and brown lines in your pic look to be drawn on the fan leaf's stem, which isn't what you're going for. Check out the attached. The red circle is around your growth tip. You can cut at the yellow line near the circle to top it, and that would be playing it safe. That plant would probably be ok if you cut at the lower yellow line, but that's up to you. :peace:

Wow thanks a ton! Would there be any benefit in cutting on the lower yellow line or is that a matter of preference? Thank a ton for the picture with the yellow line it's what I was secretly hoping for haha. (as you can tell this is my first grow)

I would just cut the top big fan leaves off, that will slow down the growth of the top nodes and the bottom will get more light and have a better chance at catching up with the top. I do it all the time on seedlings should work similar with your clone

don;t matter cut away if you want or have liquid honey dab it on the wound or just leave it alone make sure to lower your lights, accordingly this will in fact give you a nice start to a bushier plant

Okay I just got home and my plant changed and grew a bit it's going quick. Would a cut in the picture below be okay? Or is there a better place?

Hey. 2ANONYMOUS has it right, between the earlier choices where you cut is not a huge deal. You want to be careful, but try not to overthink it - these plants are pretty tough. 8)

Personally I would cut at the blue line in your pic. Your plant looks healthy enough to take it. After cutting you'll notice maybe a day or two of slower growth then BOOM!

You're off to a good start. :peace:
