clonex mist for rooting clones is about 99% water and 1% rooting solution. just a tip to save growers money, you can buy a rooting solution for about $15 a liter and mix 1 tbs to a gallon of water and mist away!

Ive used a lot of cloneX in the past. I will say, it does speed up the roots popping. I like it, but my states a stickler about being organic.

How fast a cut strikes is largely dependent on variety and health/vigor of the stock plant if your technique and methods are sound and on point. That being said....using a rooting hormone...whether its gel, spray, liquid, or powder does speed up rooting. I mean....i have left cuts in a dixie cup of tap water on a windowsill and the eventually grow roots. Takes awhile...but they root. Ive found that all of the rooting hormone products to be largely the same. From cheap Home Depot powders to 25 bucks for a small bottle of Clonex gel. There all just synthetic auxins. In trace amounts. The plant makes its own but the extras help speed the process. Take a small branch of willow and soak it in water a few days.....makes a great natural auxin. Old grandma houseplant trick.

I like the convenience of running down to the store and buying it. And willing to pay for it. At the price a sack of buds goes for...its nothing to drop a 20 spot on a bottle of rooting hormone. And it lasts me at least a
6 months. Fuk an aloe plant or willow branch and all that jazz. To each his own.

My grandmother never needed rooting chemicals and I never noticed a need either. I think I am just immune to marketing hype.
No doubt. I take cuttings of different plants all the time. I have vines and other stuff growing in water without an air stone. Water exchanges o2 on its own.

I get 50%+ success rate with plain water and no air stone.

for sure dude in all reality rooting hormones don't cost shit if you look at the bigger picture haha. the only reason i ever started wasting my time with an alternative is because i grow full veganic but besides that no real dramatic change in running cost or anything.

Willow bark makes a great cloning solution. Its free. Take some new growth from the tree and let sit over night in warm water and strain.
