I have 4 cxb 3590 @1400mA over a 3.5x3.5...so a cxb can light 1.5x1.5 easily! But you can put more than that...I want one cxb @700mA or 1050mA over each sq/ft at the end...I guess it is the best possible setup and configuration to scratch the 2gpw!
I will know that in February...when I will weight my crop!

@Rahz what kind of driver do you use for 2 cxb?
I really like the black casing!
I want to use a black hs for my next build even if I know it is not as good as the regular one because it is so nice looking!
Did you use a special paint I guess no cause it is not the casing who dissipate heat but I guess there is heat conducting paint!...
I am too far from US to buy a light from you or one of the other company here I am sure you all have very good panel and it is the price who is going to tell us who is going to sell the most...!

For the 1750s and 2100s I use HLG-240s For 1400s I use HLG-120s.

The lamps are powder coated with a slight gloss deep black. With the amount of airflow I don't think temp differences would be measurable based on paint/coating or color, but I did use black for that reason... and because it looks cool.

Do you use Meanwell drivers across your entire product lineup, then?

I do like the squared off purposeful, industrial look to them. They look like anything but silly disco lighting toys, a very good thing indeed.

I wonder what brushed stainless would cost? 'The permanent finish', John Z. DeLorean would be proud, LOL
 
Yes all Meanwell. The single cob lights (there will be single cob lights) don't use HLG but does have a 5 year driver. The efficiency on the smaller HLGs isn't high enough to justify using them. It might seem silly to use 240s on 2 cob lamps, but the efficiency never drops below 90% unless in veg mode, in which case the heat output is still less than running them wide open.

Thanks for the kind comments. :) Not sure about brushed steel but I do have access to a sand blaster. I might play around with it at some point but I'm liking the powder coat ATM. I have some opalescent powder, tempted to throw a teaspoon in with a pound of black but I keep holding off. It's a really sweet effect but I will probably just stay with plain black. Something about getting too fancy with the color bothers me.
 
Yea sure, it's only 100 watts on a 150 watt driver. You can drive 3 3590s (36v) on HLG-120.

Well said.. dig it! I'm sure (at least in my case) we are the bottleneck in the equation. As it looks like commercial AG outfits are coming to market soon in some states, it'll be scary to see just how good this stuff gets.. it may get cheap enough where this is just a hobby.. I mean, if they can grow tomatoes for a few bucks, and make money.. think about it. Wouldn't change anything for me, I just like to know where stuff comes from, and is similar to our growing our own food (when we can). But, I doubt the tomatoes I grow look as nice or cost less.

Great job with the lights I actually preferred the very 1st prototype plain aluminum look.
I do have a qeury thoe, I'll start by explaining my problem and hopefully you can reassure me your lights can solve these problems, its an old problem.
Temperatures in my tents are too high but I need a lot of light not always possible to use huge extractors while remaining undetected, like every one else I really struggle in summer time having my lights on during the cooler night time period helps a bit but not enough and the quality and quantity suffer, I often don't pay for electric and so wattage is no concern, I just need intense light with less heat.
How much would I have to spend on ur lights to replace 1 600w hps and how much heat would it give off.
I googled "600watt HP's lumens" and it said 90,000 so thats £60 for 90,000 lumens I know its going to be impossible to beat that but is it possible to justify buying these cobs with that in mind
(Its6:45am not been sleep hopefully not to much bs here)
 
I haven't worked out international shipping but someone from Australia is wanting a couple lamps so I really need to address that issue soon.

I also need to get the PPFD spreadsheet up on the website. I think it will answer most of the light intensity questions.

(2) T3-1750s - $1000 - $5.00 per par watt, 200 par watts - total power draw 405 watts - 610 PPFD in a 4'x4' tent (replaces 600w HPS)
(2) T3-2100s - $1060 - $4.60 per par watt, 231 par watts - total power draw 490 watts - 715 PPFD "
(2) T4-1400s - $1200 - $5.40 per par watt, 222 par watts - total power draw 430 watts - 686 PPFD "

I just put one T3-2100 on the site but no more 2.1 amp drivers for a couple weeks. I will have a batch of 1750s showing up on the website starting sometime late next week. I can produce 1400s but not rushing to stock them, would need a request to jump on it. I think even with the 2100 option the temps would drop -vs- a 600w HPS so if electricity isn't a concern that might be the best bet, but I'm not able to produce them til around the first of the year assuming all goes well with component shipping.

I can't seem to find the ppfd for a hps fixture to compare can anyone help
