Would a colored reflector change the color of light?

If the color of the reflector was anything other than mirror-like or white, then would a different color change the color temperature output of the light, itself, to change?

For example: If you ran a 400 watt MH bulb with a polished copper reflector, then would the reflected portion of light output change from the original MH color of the bulb, itself, to something more reddish (because of the color of the copper)?

Thanks!

It would because the material would be absorbing much of the blue light!
Thanks!

Do you think it would be practical to switch the color of the reflector material to be used (as an alternative to changing the type of bulb) to get a different color light output?

It would change the color by selectively reducing the amount of light being reflected, so bad idea. Much better to go with a different bulb.
