Does anyone read Zero Hedge?

Someone emailed me an article from that site a few months ago. Been reading stuff on the site off and on.

This author has an interesting spin on the motives of all the presidential canidates, politicians, etc.

Claims it's indifference. Longish article, uses the Tet offensive as an analogy.

But if you care to read it, I'd like to hear your comments.

Seems like a complete opinion piece.

I disagree. I think they care about the outcomes they are pursuing. It is very easy to manipulate the media in their favor because the media CEO want the same thing. Power.

People in power always try to expand their control. They bet on both sides, falsify report or report irrelevant information in an attempt to appear as if they are acting in your best interest.

Many countries and politicians are simply trying to make sure they come out on top no matter what happens.

It's all about getting reelected or gaining influence in the world or preventing another country from gaining the influence that you desire.

A twisted mess.

Not quite. Instead of the CEO- he's just head lackey- look at the major shareholders. Then look at who sits on their board... and owns major blocs of shares in other large companies... where they ALSO sit on boards...

And the network of old boys becomes clear very quickly. They're our old friends, the .01%... the donor class.

It was an interesting read in the wake of the GFC.
In time, it became a mix of dis-, mis-, and non-info.
So, no, I don't read it anymore.
