Opinions on my Outdoor this year. Australian grow.

They look great. Just don't over water and don't over fertilize. Looks like they could use a schosh of fertilizer now, but not to much. "Less is more" and those are relativly small pots for outdoors.

Well that's pretty subjective. I keep my outdoor (around) the edges) wet all the time. However, I keep the root-ball in the center dry.It's very hot here in the summer as I'm sure it is where you are. I feed every other watering. I have friends who spend more money than me on fert. and have bigger plants but these plants are good enough for the girls I go with. My pots are always 50+ That helps hold the water and just makes it easier. I would rather have fewer but bigger plants. I'm legal for 12 here but I only did 9.

I recon for that size of pot your on track. Like I said before, those are good looking plants. In this hemisphere I put my plants out in April and they are usually harvested by October 31st. So there is a bit of a time line for you.You should be halfway there depending upon your solstice. (when days begin to get shorter)

I don't see the signs but I'm not there. I would recommend the 25 gal but I would not put them directly into the big pot. I would transplant from one pot size to the next.

They will get droopy and the leaves will show signs of stress including the yellowing. I have not had a root-bound plant in many years, so I had to stop and think about it. A rule of thumb is 1 gallon per month that they are in the pot.

14 gallons should be enough then?
I've never had a rootbound plant either.

Is this your first outdoor grow? It looks pretty good! I've never grown outdoors (wish I could) but I would probably agree that you need bigger containers next time. That must have been a typo when he said 1 gallon for every month the plant will be in the container because that would be tiny!

I also wanted to put in my two cents about your season. The solstice is the same all across the globe, just flipped from northern hemisphere to southern. And I also looked at your latitude and it looks like you are about the same spot as the California/Oregon border here in the U.S. . Your season should be pretty much the same just 6 months opposite

My first out door grow was around 1976-77. Here is one from about 1979.

Actually that one gal per month covers folks who grow in 5 gal and smaller buckets. I grow in larger pots now but I have used 5 gal buckets many times both indoor outdoor and indoor/outdoor as demonstrated in the pic.

My first larger scale outdoor grow. I did 3 plants outdoors last season. This is my fourth grow all together ( 2 indoors, refer to my avatar, and two outdoor).

Hoping to get a decent yield from all these. I've also got 11 seedlings I'm about to out this Friday in 5 gal pots.

I would not claim to know that. I, except for B-1 and Alaska Fish fert, pretty-much use all powder stuff like guano and boom stuff.

Look to using kids paddling pools as a grow pot ,,,anything from 200 litres to maybe 800 litres

you do need a commercial soil source ...it can be a long and expensive search ..?

did ya stick you cooking temp gauge into the soil what did you read ..?

Mine are about a week old from seed, had em under a 250w cfl for 24/7 since then. Normally would run them 18/6 or 20/4 but I'm leaving the country for 2 weeks this weekend and need them outside by Friday

I'll have a total of 12 sativa's and 11 indica's outdoors when these little seedlings are out in the wild! All fem too.

Good idea ! I have a commercial gardening supply centre down the road from my place, handy!

My soil was 23 Celsius between 74-75 Fahrenheit.
