I've got it covered and if that fails, hope they survive with the massive water i give them before i go

No..different stuff, but type in water crystals in that site and they have them cheap..I just looked

Good idea ! I have a commercial gardening supply centre down the road from my place, handy!

My soil was 23 Celsius between 74-75 Fahrenheit.

I plan to do some experiments (indoor/outdoor) with those pools. Right now use one for mixing soil. Lots of new medical patients use them around here and they work great. However several posts back I posted this trick I learned. These bags are made from chicken wire, landscape fabric, and plastic zip ties. Some of these bags are in the hundreds of gallons but you can make them any size and there isn't $60. tied up in it.

With your setup U can topdress each container and toss some more soil on top of the Crystals ..it look like u have a few inches of container left on top to add dirt.

Well I leave the country for two weeks tomorrow. Little worried about the water situation so I bolstered the girlies defenses!

Spread water crystals all over the top soil, gave em 3 gallons of water each and mulched em. Additionally I poured a half a gallon of water over the mulch.

Also, I've put the babies outside Did the same to them but the water crystals are through the soil not just the top.

Should do until the next rain ( forecasted to rain in a weeks time.)

Hopefully all is fine while I'm away!

One 11 hour flight down, another 8 hour and 1 hour flight to go!

Will update as soon as I'm hone. Had three waterings while I've been gone so gonna need to give a full feed to them hungry girls!

I was thinking about starting a grow journal type thread or should I just keep updating this one?
