I'm sorry, but were you a part of the administration that was talking to Congress so you "know for a fact that nowhere the administration requested something like the GFSZA?" Or were you aware that the GFSZA was passed with 1 nay, all yeas from Democrats and 135 yeas from Republicans too? I didn't read that George H.W. Bush wrote the GFSZA into law, nor that his administration requested it on a "liberal site," unfortunately for you they did both. You can dance and deflect all you want, but the point is still that in 1989 Bush banned the importation of all semi-automatic assault rifles in reaction to the Stockton Schoolyard Shooting.
"WASHINGTON, July 7— The Bush Administration declared a permanent ban today on almost all foreign-made semiautomatic assault rifles. Imports of the weapons have been suspended since spring." July 7, 1989.
Then we also have the fact that in 1992 the Bush Administration banned weapons from military bases...

February 25, 1992 DoD Directive 5210.56.
Wouldn't it be easier if you said, "Shit pnw, you're right. Sorry, I'm too wrapped up in my close minded anti-liberal thought that anything I subscribe to as bad must be liberal."
