Only deceptively correct. Introduced in the senate by none other than Joe Biden. It was NOT "asked for by the Bush administration". It was signed into law as one of many things as part of a crime omnibus law. It in particular was later struck down by the Supreme Court. It was restarted in its current state under Clinton.

Nice attempt at rewriting history.

Why would I be mad about showing how ignorant you are?
Again, it was an omnibus bill. He did not veto it, I assume. because he agreed with the majority of what it held. Duh!! So yeah what started as Joe Biden's bill eventually was struck down by SCOTUS. It was brought back to life by Janet Reno and Bill Clinton.

Turning to name calling doesn't make you look confident in your rewrite. Doh!

Isn't that interesting how it's the pot calling the kettle black with that last line? Actually the GFSZA was signed into law by George H.W. Bush in 1990. Doh! That's why it's called the Gun Free School Zone Act of 1990. Thanks for playing though, because if you knew your legislative history you'd know George H.W. Bush also issued an executive order that banned the importation of certain semi-automatic guns after a school shooting in Stockton, CA. As part of this, his Administration asked Congress to pass a bill that would make the punishment for using a gun during a crime even stricter among other things, and especially having firearms in or around schools.

I'm sorry, but were you a part of the administration that was talking to Congress so you "know for a fact that nowhere the administration requested something like the GFSZA?" Or were you aware that the GFSZA was passed with 1 nay, all yeas from Democrats and 135 yeas from Republicans too? I didn't read that George H.W. Bush wrote the GFSZA into law, nor that his administration requested it on a "liberal site," unfortunately for you they did both.
