What strains are a true Kush?

I purchased Hindu kush, Pakistan Chitral kush, original afghani #1, and Afghan kush along with og, grape, master, and critical kush so I can get a feel of how "true kush" affects me and the crosses as well. That way, I have a variety to choose from when I'm breeding. Good luck.

@Dr. Who didn't know afghani #1 was a kush, I bought it because I was looking for landraces. Prefer to make my own crosses as pure as possible from strains that haven't been hybridized to much. Thanks for the info!

So if I'm not mistaken a kush is an indica landrace from the Hindu Kush mountains. And I see a lot of "kush" strains that don't apply to that. I've been itching to experiment with breeding and I want to make a weed called "captain kush" or "major kush". But I want my kush to be legit. Not some fucking fake with the name for the sake of the name. So does anyone know any strains that are legit kush strains?
Best one I ever had was a bagseed Master Kush and really smelled like fuel, Give Killer Kush a try, I was blown away by it.

Yeah....I just feel like Americans aren't well liked over there. Not just over there a lot of places in the world. It's all good. If I ever do something like that I'll wear a Canadian backpack. Or Jamacian, I'm a black guy with dreads so I can probably pull it off.

The seed started there (kush mtn range) and traveled with man was bred intensively and was subject to evolution just as every other organism

You are correct on the first half. All "Kush" is named for the region Hindu Kush.
As for the second - It is ABSO-FUCKIN-LUTELY NOT the "only" kush!!!

It has not much to do with India other then a small area in the North west as some else suggested.
The region covers area's of Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and Tajikistan and a little bit in India like I said.
ANY landrace from the region is considered a true "kush". So with that in mind, you should search for LANDRACE seeds from those countries. Pure Afghans are still available as are a cpl of Paki kush's and of course Hindu Kush.

Some say that G-13 is a true Kush as it came from the region as far as we know. Others say it is a government construct from the Old Miss facility. The decision is yours. The only G-13 worth buying is from Dr. Greenthumb in my book.

True landrace Kush's I can find right now.
These are all from the Hindu Kush region - no Moroccan or Nepalese hybred or Indica cross's, only PURE KUSH region Landrace's

Hashplant - Sensi seeds
Afgani #1 - sensi seeds
Maple leaf Indica - Sensi seeds
Hindu Kush - Sensi seeds
Hindu Kush - Kiwi seeds
Vanilla Kush - Barney's Farms
Pakistan Vally regular - World of seeds
Afghan Kush Regular - World of seeds
Mota Khan Afgana - Elite seeds
China Yunnan - Ace seeds
Williams Wonder - Sick Meds
Pakistan Chitral Kush - Cannabiogen
Double Glock - Ripper seeds
X-18 Pure Pakistani - Reserva Privata
Pamir Gold - Dutch Passion = This is debatable region wise but, does come from the edge of the Hindu region in Tajikistan in the Himalaya's - I say it's IN.
Taskenti - Cannabiogen = While not from the region (Uzbekistan). This deserves a mention as it makes some of the best cannasure Hash there is!

I hope this helps you out better.

Since you're hell bent on proving me wrong… please go back and see when seeds were released for each of those lines that you listed…. show me which of those were available in seed for in 1999…. omit the ones that don't say kush in the name…..

If you grew in 1999 (which I assume you did not) and someone said I got some kush… hindu kush is what you would have thought… I'm right…hindu kush is the original kush mate.

I never said that Hindu wasn't the first kush or the original kush. Any of what is now considered "landrace" seed from the Hindu Kush region IS considered a "Kush" and that was my point. The guy's looking for landrace seeds from the region...

Some years back this fella walked into a bar that the MC was in. We all had some drinks and found out he was the champion sheep shearer from Australia. Richard Allen Kole or K(something, maybe it was a C) we all decided to call him RAK. He was an absolute riot to be around. Rough tough and quick to not just stand his ground but, to attack when provoked. He skipped on his 6 month visa and hung with the club, bought a Sportster and rolled with us as a hangaround....Sure as shit the State department came and found him one day and back to the Land Of Under he went. Those of us still around miss the guy. He did come back for another 6 months some years later and he walked onto the club property during church. The younger members didn't know who he was and were about to feed him some knuckles. Richie, Karp and myself went out to see what the intruder wanted before the meal. RAK said 2 words and Richie and I jumped and got him away from the goon squad and the sgt at arms. Great confusion spread through the Jrs. as the 3 of us soon followed by the rest of the "old school" members lifted him up on shoulders and proclaimed it a party day of honor...

I got news a few years back that RAK passed. I still have that sportster of his in my garage. I've retired from the club but, still live only 3 miles from the club house and spent many a Friday night there, not to mention the yearly reunion.

The point being is that RAK was quick to stand his ground and dish it out when need be. You appear to be Aussie and have the same attributes.......You simply have my intention a bit off "mate"....

I have to go to your "Land Of Under" one day before I join RAK......It seems like a very interesting place with very interesting people.

BTW - over 40 years of growing but, I get your point!

Peace on Mate...

Get over it and just play the game like everybody else. You won't get any more respect or money if you do years of research and find the last true Kush from deep, dark where ever.

Just rename a killer strain and most people won't have a clue.

Sensi seeds has Hindu kush. Other than traveling to China, Pakistan, Kajikstan and Afghanistan. You won't find an indica landrace unless by some chance you are gifted one. The more common available landraces are pure sativas like columbian mexican, aftican, Jamaican landraces

(pre 98 ) bubba kush.best ever.everybodys still asking about it.its been a year now.

Pre 98 is not a kush. It's an s1 of bubba kush which is actually northern lights seeds gifted to the man Named Bubba. He just named it kush. Like him and josh named kush to og kush. They just named it kush. It Has nothing to do with true kush. Kush comes from Afghaninstan and the Hindu kush region of pakistan, China and tajikstan
