Thanks for building the cannabis market

but HC can do the bare minimum like they have.
look at the most recent-Smith case for edibles-we can possess in any form...we just can't make it.
we needed reasonable access etc-Dg's could then grow for 2 people. addresses were to be able to have multiple licenses and HC made it so only 4 per address...etc. that's how they will have the final say
That was under the old HC guard. Hopefully things have changed, and any mandates made by Phelan will be respected by HC.

Well depends on how the MMAR would cut into their cannabis profits. The CDN Gov is now setting themselves to be the new nation wide drug dealer and with the $$$$$ signs that they are looking at I can see them getting viscous to protect their new cash cow. It already says so on the Liberal website.

I hear ya dude!

I'm just hopeful that the new Justice Ministers words will slow down some of the provincial cash-coffers. She said, the mandated offices have only met once to discuss Rec MJ, and they are nowhere near a decision on sales/distribution models.

In the meantime, these new Ministers need to get their shit together with MMJ first...IMO!

they have no choice but to deal with medical first....forcing us all to LP's would find the liberals in hot water
with the medical community....
there is a huge possibility that if things don't go the way medical user would like....
that we would turn on the government....and they would be embattled to defend appeal after appeal...
as medical users sue the gov.....(see Turmell)
ultimately medical users would have the right to grow for themselves...
and the liberals will have made enemies of the mmj community and its
supporters....that's a whole lot of votes all across the country

Actual we make up about .2% of the votes and appeals only matter if the scoc will hear them. Scoc can pick and choose what it wants to hear.

Any appeals will have go before the BC Federal Court of Appeal first. After being dealt with @ the provincial appeals level (or not, they can deny to hear)...any appeals would then go to the SCoC (which only 20% of those cases submitted get taken on).

I got a response back from Hon. Philpott.

I sent a email to her on Nov 17, after reading another dude we know say hes been asked to consult or something to the effect of being ask by an authority to give advice. Anyway, I had success in the winter of 2012 with being able to give my input for their consultation period for the MMPR, just by requesting to be included as a stakeholder.
So my email to the new Minister was similar and simply requested to be involved with the legalization process as a medical user/provider and cannabis farmer.

Their response,
Thank you for your correspondence of Nov 17, concerning your request to participate in the process of legalizing marijuana.

I appreciate your interest in helping shape the future framework of marijuana regulations in Canada.

The Government of Canada has committed to legalizing, regulating, and restricting access to marijuana in consultation with Canadians. We will establish a task force to advise on the design of a new system of strict marijuana sales and distribution, with inputs from experts in public health, substance abuse, and law enforcement.

Again, thank you for writing.

Your Sincerely,

The Hon. Jane Philipott, P.C., M.P.
Not as inclusive compared to the last regulation change.

Oh isn't that fabulous..they re gonna talk to the same uninformed people that were in charge of fucking folks over under the prohibition. I gotta love all the experts on this subject that are not users of MMJ or MJ either way.
It's all such a fix....I see that.

when it comes to medical use....the patients here would be a lot better group to consult with....
no one of us alone would be able to cover all the angles and aspects of what medical means to
today's patients....but together we seem to get a great deal of the debate dealt with....
and even then.....someone will come along and present a concern that none of us even thought of.....
its a pretty huge scope....

This spoiled rich kid?
Yup skirts around the question and shifts right back to rec market. Indicating that he knows nothing about medical. Typical politicians mentality "im your best freind until you need help". To use a famous quote " i rather a man tell me what he believes than to pretend to be an angle and be nothing but a devil".

Well he said...he said and I heard it clearly.
He doesn't think taking away meds gardens is the right direction to go....Yahoo...I'm likin that huge.
He also said that the rich should not get child care and look who is milking the system within a week of elections. I think in his mind lp gardens are our gardens some how. If he really cared about us he would be pushing for a drug identification number and forcing all insurance to pay up. I heard limited plant count if we are lucky.

Fuckers.

I don't know how it possibly took this long for law enforcement and governments to wake up and smell the weed.

Now that they have it's all about money in their pockets. I'm sure there will be plant limits but I'm expecting them to be no greater than six per person and that may even be a reach.

Hopefully the medical system is exempt from certain aspects of legalization as far as plant counts without having to go to court.
It's all about control. "Legalization" will be all about government run weed stores. Look at the alcohol pimps jockeying for control. Disgusting!
