A 300w mars against 1 cxb 3590 @1750mA (70w) for about 90 $...I am sure you will get more gpw with the cxb and less heat for 25 $ more...so now what is the smart thing to do!?!

idk its pretty simple to just chuck up 1 x "300w" led panel per plant

that way when half of them are broken you have just enough light to finish the grow, lol

For me it was basically the price,plus with a little due diligence, I found that most of the epi led lights were created equal regardless of price with a (few) exceptions.

So which kind of mobilephone you use? Did you have a chinese fake rebrand phone, due cheap price? Or did you have some quality made by some serious manufacturer? I am sure, you do not have a crappy fake china phone. And your phone you use only to call. You want to grow plants with chinese crap do it.

I wasn't referring to that. I meant that 400 watts is the same on the electric bill no matter the source. Of course with hid you have the ballast and having to cool it.

If you are pulling 400 from the socket, no matter the source, it will cost the same.

For sure cost same. But 400W HPS,MH, Vero or CXB will double up your income of weed in contrast to mars. If you are a beginner, for sure you are happy with Mars lights, because you did not know better. Or you did not know what is possible or better say "normal"

Had you a look on my avatar? Is it a HID? I tell you, your epistar light is less efficient. Less than HID. Some COB like CREE or Bridgelux same or more efficient as HID. Can you answer my question? Have you same efforts with Mars as your 30 years HID experience? If not, why did you switch? I never hear from HID grower who make the switch, that mars rocks! Your HID efforts have to be so bad, that you prefer mars. I am sure LED can rock HID, but not a cheap crappy chinese LED like mars.

The marshydro stuff works just fine,the cost doesn't hurt, heat is not a big deal and my plants love it. No street lights in my home,those were the bygone days. If anyone wants to try the marshydro lights I say go for it and keep the street lights were they belong" outside on the pole". P.s. Have you looked at my avatar???

Yes. I looked on your avatar and I saw a cheap chinese LED. With cheap Epistar Leds, which are about 20% efficient. I not will longer talk with you. You are not able to answer my question. Last 30 years you had no problem with your "Streetlight" inside!! Also HID are for greenhouses, too! And also there are "Streetlight" made with LED. But for sure not cheap chinese Epistar. Cost of your LED doesnt hurt, but hurt your yield. Look on the emoticon this will happen with me, if I longer talk to the daillman wall!

I have a perfect condition 900w mars it draws 510w it grows flowers and it is for sale. Ive used it in a 2x4 and it works. Any offers?

Yeah, all these people who actually have research and data to back up their claims, fuck those guys, right? I know that when I'm doing research on something, I will only listen to some twat who bought a hundred dollar LED and says he's growing great nugs with it, but can't explain anything about how it works. And I'm also going to take that same twat's word that his definition of great nugs matches up anywhere remotely to mine. Nah, seriously, fuck those guys who actually research the parts and data and figure out what's actually happening on an electrical draw standpoint, a heat dissipation and a light density and spread standpoint. No, I will not listen to anyone who has actually done the research on these lights, and would recommend me spend my money on a product that is better in every way, shape and/or form.

Platinum is just another epi-whatever light. However, what sets Platinum apart is that it's not a very honest company. They are (or were) a deliberate name-ripoff of AdvancedLED, a reputable light which uses Cree diodes.

Why buy a light from someone who has to resort to confusing the consumer, using a competitor's product images and name?
