Here's an idea: I think that elected officials should never mention their spiritual beliefs. They should include in the oath they take that they will not talk to their god, and definitely not listen either. They should not even go to church while in office, and we better not see them kneeling next to the bed.
It's fine if you want to believe in those things, just don't mention it while you are serving the people. It just makes you look like a simpleton.

You don't get to judge an entire group of people based on a few bad ones. That's what terrorists do, that's how they justify murdering innocent people, and that's exactly what Trump and the GOP rhetoric is supporting.
