Thats weird considering I got it in 2011 used it for a month with issues and got a T5HO and havent touched it since.
Perhaps the fact that it doesnt seat right wore it out prematurely?

I used to work at BK and there was this girl working there who was wicked fat and she was all like im doing good on my diet. I didn't put mayo on my triple whopper with cheese. I just looked at her like wow, congrats. You're still consuming a 1200 calorie sandwich.

They accumulate that shit inside until they don't produce enough light to be worth it anymore. Improper seating could well adversely affect the quality of the electrical connection and thus hasten its demise. MH bulbs are sensitive to that shot, which is why I strongly recommend any other lamp but, such as cmh or cdm.
