Non decarboxylated? weed tinture

Had about 1- 1.5 g of kief that i mixed with about 2oz of Everclear. Anyway to decarboxylate while in the alcohol mixture? Would boiling off the alcohol, decarbing it, then re-adding the alcohol work?

first off that will be a very weak tincture and you can decarb in suspension. just put the jar with the alcohol in a pot of simmering water for roughly a half hour.

I would like to piggyback on this if I may. I have some jars of tincture that aren't working at all. I filled the jar with fresh trim (mostly sugar leaves and little popcorn buds), topped up with Everclear, and put one in the freezer and the rest in a cabinet. Shook them every time I thought about it. It's been a couple of months now, and a dropperful of any of them still does absolutely nothing.

I still haven't strained out the plant matter, if that matters.

Is there any way to save this stuff? I was hoping there was some safe way to decarb it, maybe a crock pot, or a double boiler on a hotplate, with an extension cord in the middle of the driveway for safety. I'm pretty scared of fire. But if boiling alcohol for half an hour isn't enough to decarb the weed, what is? I looked at your link in the last post, but it's over my head. Is there some other link I could read that would cover this situation?

-70% at 210, 81% of the cannabinoids intact at 170°f.

the less heat you use, the more is retained.. reduce etoh concentration, and filter. it was done extracting within a few minutes.
then simply keep heating. you could "reflux" with lid on. or add etoh later if you like. pretty simple

OK, I was under the impression that Everclear at that temperature would be a huge flame.
Would a crock pot hit the right temperature?
Would it be less explosive if one added water to the alcohol mixture?
Strain the plant material out first or no?

well you can boil alcohol pretty safely. like i said you would reduce it doing this so you will need to add more. if you wanna do the temp given by demon trich you might as well remove the etoh first

and yes definitely remove the plant matter

tinctures are pretty cool to play around with, i use Albanian moonshine and top nuggs.. 220f for 25 min good enough to decarb, but you can always not decarb it then put some in your hot coffe or tea, water boils n bubbles at 200f somethen I think, sometimes a make a lil mix of a lil non decarb and carbed, all these people usen trim and lower nuggs? why?? use premo top nuggs you dont have to use that much, if you make it right you only need like 4 drops to realllllly feeeeeel it.... under the tounge is faster then drinken it.. the shit you can play around with is really cool, you can boil down your liqour make it stronger or wait for it to decarb for 3 months by it self and catch a few lil visuals..

You have got all kinds of options. You can use no heat and decarb naturally over time. You can use a rice cooker. It all depends on what you want. There is a way around all this BS. They shut me down on making my ND Sap which I use 200 proof ethyl. The ND Sap contains all the terpenes. We don't need their chemicals. If you plan on staying baked 24/7, this method will work. Naturally decarbed buds, no heat used in the process and it carries all the medicinal properties. It may take up to 6 months to naturally decarb, and it may take up to 6 hours to hit you. It is as good as any oil I have had. Fresh, dry bud. It can take 4 to 6 months to naturally decarb sealed in a jar.

When it is fully decarbed, and if it is ganja, eating a 1/2 to full joint amount, should kick your butt. It can take up to 6 hours to feel the effects. If you take it every day, you should stay under the influence 24/7.

Heat decarbing does not come close in comparison. I consider heat decarbing to trash the quality of the material, more so with buds vs. oil.
