ph indicator help?

Hi guys ,

Question , do you guys put ph indicator in you water everytime to check it or you done couple times and know how much you got to put Ph down /ph up ?

And can you add straight ph down/up , without using indicator , if you know how many drops will get you to ph level needed.

I imagine so..if your water has a stable ph.Municiple sources are probably pretty stable...well water or something like that,its a crap shoot.If you are using ro or distilled ( no distilled water is NOT water you let sit out) water the ph will be stable.

Cool , because my indicator runnin out and i dont see point buying new one. As i know i just got to add 5 drops of ph down and its on point.

Im same as you buddy I know my ph is around 6.1 or so before the pen broke or started spazing out..

I allways buy bottled water and know my ph is roughly allways at that point and untill I come into problems I know I'm gonna need a pen.

But until then I'm good because I manually manage tho (its not the advice that I would give).., GET A PH PEN ALLWAYS USE IT...and I know in getting one lmao

If you're in soil, you most likely do not need to pH your nutrients. If you're not overfeeding, not using unnecessary things like "calmag," getting sufficient runoff to prevent salt buildup, it shouldn't matter. Especially if your soil has a sufficient dolomite lime (I add 1 to 1.5 tbsp/gal).

You and the OP should try it sometime (just one plant) and see how it goes.

My plants sexy , they happy from start and be to end . But my indicator finishes and i know when i check water it gets green and i drop 5 drops of ph down and it gets point on . Just wondering i do not need to put indicator everytime , i can just put 5 drops ph down and it be on point right. Indicator just to see where your ph is standing.
