The red stems are only on the top of the branches or is the whole branch turning red? The new growth looks fine,I think its genetics,my opinion.People pouring cal/mag and all the nitrates that go along with it,at the drop of a hat can be a problem itself.

I agree. Looks healthy to me. Probably genetics.

I would still add cal/mag to distilled water. It is void of minerals and will pull them from the soil and plant.

like I said, it is just starting and continuing to use distilled will make the stems get more red and the leaves start to yellow, I keep saying it, i keep proving it.

My wife bought a bunch of distilled water by accident. After a few days of drinking it, I felt bad and hurt in my back and kidneys. I don't eat a lot of salt.
I added a small pinch of sea salt to the water and I felt better and quit hurting.

I firmly believe that drinking distilled water pulls minerals from your body.

The plant may yellow in the future but does that really mean the stems are turning red from lack of cal/mag/iron and nitrogen now? Ive seen plenty of red stems on perfectly healthy plants, but who knows you could be right.

Hmm thats interesting man. Osmosis principle.I dont grow with distilled but that argument sounds plausable to me.

well, lets see, 90 % of the time that i see red stems/yellow leaves,I see people using distilled and r/o water. 10% is genetics. This guy is using distilled water, why not eliminate that issue?

why do people call a discussion on a forum a battle? It's a forum

fo·rum
ˈfôrəm/
noun
  1. 1.
a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

I'm not about debating it either, I was letting people know what i have seen over and over from continued use of distilled and r/o water.
