So how was your 2015? You are still alive, that is mostly a good thing.


This was a mixed year for me.

One one hand, I lost a couple of dear friends that meant a lot to me. Adding to the tragedy, neither went out on top. Like many people of my age they found themselves in a position of having their life's work eroded by the changing tides of fortune and time. I will miss them both as individuals and because they both left an unfilled hole in me for the time being. I moved away from the city of my birth and moved to a strange place cutting off ties to my entire family in the process - that was for the better, but not easy by any means.

But ho... it was also the most wonderful year ever for me. My wife and I had a child on the fourth day of 2015. He is a perfect and magical little elf that brings us more joy than I ever thought was possible. I can't even type this without becoming choked-up.

How was yours?

That's awesome I was at hospital last night as we thought our child was coming.. my wife is 3.5cm dialated so that will tip off my year if he makes it out in 2 days lol.. but I have had a good year.
I have helped out lots of people. I am happy with this year 2016 should be even better

My year was great. I ended a toxic relationship with a guy in January, and enjoyed just dating around all year until November when I met my current gf.

I love my work. Both my (very) small businesses did well and grew a little bit. I stayed on a good budget and had the money for a modest beach vacation in July, and for Christmas this year, without using a credit card all year. And after I paid off my last credit card, I cut it into 1000 pieces, and got myself a debit card.

I'm happy.

first 3/4 of 2015 was a shit show for me. The last quarter has been awesome.

I'll start off with my GF and were in our first place together (rented a townhouse)

We started to have issues, don't know if we got into a routine or spent too much time, got bored... Whatever shit went south long story short. Then her parents get divorced (married 25 years) no sign of trouble, her mom just decided to up and leave with some other dude. This caused even more havoc. GF moves back home to help her father financially and because "we needed space". I decided to end things. Fast forward through July- August- September. She desperately tries to get me back. This woman would have crawled through Antarctica to have me back.

Got back together and everything has been awesome since, this will be our 4th anaversary. Thinking of pulling the trigger on the whole engagement thing, she has been saying it a lot and it feels right.

Looking forward to 2016!

With parents, the first sign of trouble is often that there are no signs of trouble. Tha's unnatural. Hope things work out amazing. I love being married. Done it three times. ;)
