usually soil growers clone in potting soil and hydro growers clone in a unit that is just water with sprayers or bubble and perhaps a small amount of nutrients. you could try 3% peroxide, spraying them with that or maybe a small amount of bleach diluted in water, like a drop or two in a cup of water and spray that.

Or if they are rooted at all just plant them. Sponge pieces and all. Sponge - I can see why someone would try that. But they hold moisture too long.

Lol, soil growers dont clone in soil. Soil growers clone in rock wool cubes or rapid rooters just like hydro growers. Those cloneing machines can be used for hydro or soil. You just plant the rooted clone into whatever you want.

widow, if might be best if you stop. I seen some of your posts and like this one, you tend to be wrong. many soil growers clone in soil. I've seen it done. small trays of soil with clones on a heating mat and humidity dome with flouro light. been there, seen that.

Technically they don't need any media to root. It's called propagation but we call it cloning for some reason. Roots have a structural purpose as well as transpiration, meaning it serves to hold the tree up.
They will sprout regardless of media, you only need to hydrate the wound with a rooting hormone and roots will sprout.
I've successfully "cloned" with a 1gal bubbleponic tub, and inserting the cutting through the lid to barely break the water. Once it roots out about 2" I either plant or thread the roots through a net cup for hydro.
So yes, cloning is possible in soil if all the conditions are met.
