How much tent can I fit in he garage?

Trying to put together a grow in my garage. I measured out the usable area to be approximately 15'x15'x10' with some stuff like shelves and washer/dryer around the edges. I have been checking out these Secret Jardin tents that seem to be pretty good as far as the tents go (do me a favor and don't tell me tents suck, best I can do at the moment in a rental) and am trying to decide what sizes to go with for the two tents. I think I could fit their 10' x 10' x 6⅔' and a 8' x 4' x 6⅔' but that would be fairly snug. I am planning on venting through the ceiling to the outside and getting a standup ductless ac. Would this be too much? What combo of sizes would be better if so? 5x9 for your 2 tents in the area u said u had .......the tents are higher then the Jardin (do not get me wrong i like them i own 3 ) but u have the height to allow u 8 foot tents ....these tents can hold me (i can hang on the framing it will not break ) 300 lb equipment limit jardin is only 70 lbs ...this will allow mounting of everything in the tent

as for cooling the area Mini split for that size area 2ton maybe 3 ton if u are running passive intakes on tents

Thanks a bunch man! Two questions: Guy at the grow shop said one tent should be 40% larger than the other but you're saying just have them be same size? Would you just mount those ductless units you are talking about on the walls of the garage or do they need to actually be in the tent? This is my first setup and it sounds like you are pretty experienced with the type of layout I am talking about so I hope you don't mind if I get at you with some specific questions as I piece this thing together.

no trouble at all ....this is fun for me plus i keep learning ( u guys ask i look up info it changed i learn) ....i understand i have a state trooper next door with 2 teen kids so on the down low is a must unless i want 25 years of free room and board

i was just given u the maximum room .......i am assuming u plan on photos 18/6 one tent 12/12 other (size does not matter as the plant grows into what u give it ideally want little bigger area )
this means the veggie can go as long as u want or u can work off mothers and clones in that area .........then move the planter or plant into your flowering tent keeping a rotation going...but i give my plants a 2.5x2.5 footprint in the tent ......

as for the ac u know it means drilling a 2inch or 1inch hole tho the wall so the compressor is mounted outside and the unit that does the work is inside .....i mount it on the wall ....use a passive intake system (if that does not work build a powered intake lower then the cfms of the carbon exhaust cfms so tents maintain negative pressure ) that will decrease the temp variable from what is out in the room to what is in the tent

ok u know the mini split needs it own 20 amp break
if u do go with with the 2 5x9s u are looking at 4 1000w 2 per tent for maximum coverage and power to grow (or 4 600w leds i know shit about the new cobs ) ...........those tents will need own 20 amp breaker and your fan systems will need own 20 amp breaker
your looking at 4 breakers needed ......5th/6th one for the dryer washer

Hire an electrician to hook me up with some more 240 outlets and rig up the breakers. I figure I can handle cutting holes, running the ducting, and rigging up the purifier and water source. I was going to do some T5s for veg and start with 2 1000's for the flower tent to cut down on initial cost and go from there. It's cold here for a while so I am hoping I won't need the AC for the time being because those things are freaking spendy. Thanks for the guidance, after you've done it a bunch probably doesn't seem like rocket science but setting something like this up for the first time can be a little overwhelming, especially because it's a lot of dough so I'm not trying to fuck it up too badly as I go.

It would be straight up nonsense to have both tents the same size.. As soon as it comes time to flip you will be looking for more flower space I can guarantee it.. The people at the shop were about right when they said you want at least 40% more flower space.. I run a couple 3x3s perpetual and I veg with about 90 watts in an 18x30..

What I'm trying to say is I think you could veg with a lot fewer watts and have more flowering space with your original dimensions and that really should be the goal. Otherwise there would be time where you'll have empty space in your veg tent or not enough flower room..

Maybe I'm just not seeing this the right way..

but ppl in the shop are kind of dicks ......they want to sell as much stuff as possible (some places have morals and ethics but others will say u need 3000 bucks in gear when 1500 does the work)
i am just saying (not calling them those u need to make your own mind up about it )

ok hiring someone to do this ......this is rental number 1 thing to do is get the OK of the owner in written form or video it/record voice chat of him saying ok (with out the ok of the owner u can be on the hook for having it all removed and put back to original way was found at your cost )....does not matter it added value to the house it was not yours and the owner did not OK it (your on the hook under the law)....the other thing is as it is work on a electrical system u have to have it all signed off by inspector/electrical ppl .....if not if something happens the insurance will not cover the house since the new wiring was not inspected and signed off (your contract with them is void...they will not pay )

as for the work as the guy to hook up a sub panel and then wire in the lines to the spots u want

Yeah, that was my understanding. Not having done it before I really wouldn't know what the relative sizes of the veg and flower spaces should be but I had the impression you wanted your flower space to be much larger.

my father built a work room for woodworking and he wired up 4 breakers in the panel (as a kid ) for the room

if u do it all above board and legal.......u will add value to house he might cut u a break on rent sense u are footing the legal install of the sub panel and wiring to the garage

the mini split u can take with u when u leave just will need a havc person to install it and remove it...that is not harming the house in anyway u can plug the hole up drywall/plaster over no one sees it

but your putting your whole life on the line .....a fire starts they do the inspection find out u had some work done that was not listed/inspected/signed off on..... insurance ppl say sorry the contract is void we will not pay a dime .....your on the hook for the whole thing and your getting nothing/no help from anything

u want to have a place where u can plug in tools do your work and not worry about changing plugs moving gear closer to a plug

wood working or auto tools need alot of amps ......u can do a sub panel

tell him u are taken up a hobby and want to get the area laid out ........is it ok that u hire someone licensed and bonded to do some electrical wiring in the garage .....u are planing on making sub pannel with breakers wired to single outlets so u are able to use large amp tools more then 1 at once
