Hey all, new to the neighborhood.

I'm a FOG (officially this year-50) and been puffin for a loooong time. Been a Medical Patient since MI put it out there. Decided recently (since kids are older) to give growing a go since I can legally do so. So, you got a "green horn" here from the growing perspective.

Hoping to have a good time, good chats, and maybe some occasional get togethers as time rolls on.

Greetings and welcome.

A few basics about RIU and in particular Newbie Central. First and foremost, read, study, learn and grow. This way when and if the time comes you will be able to answer most of your own questions or know where you can find them. Don't take anyone's 'advice' on your grow. There is a lot of pretentious people on this and other forums that believe they have all the answers and yet don't know shit. Not too say, that there are more of them than good helpful and knowledgeable folks. But as a precaution take what others have to say about your grow with a grain of salt. If you propose a question and 7 out of 10 replies are similar, it MAY be good information. Always remember, your grow is just that YOUR grow. Ultimately only you can control what happens in your garden. Also, beware of trolls. they can be very annoying and obnoxious. Another reason to research, because a lot of new growers ask the silliest questions like, "What strain is my bagseed?" " How many pounds can I get growing under 6 70w cfl lights?" or one of the best I have seen is "Is it ok to use human feces to feed my plants?". These people make themselves targets and are fair game around here.

Anyway, I am 51 and there are quite a few of us old-hippies hanging out here. So, once again welcome!

Awesome! You will like it here. I have learned a shit ton from these forums. Most people are awesome. Now go get yourself a grow.

no question is a dumb one. Ask away. But always see if you can find the answer with the search tool. It's finikey but works sometimes. And about your avitar.....i gotta say i totally hate it :lol: it makes my eyes flutter, i feel like im about to have a seizure from looking at it. Hahahaaa

Lol, I'm belly laughin. I've been around the block a few times. No dumbass questions expected from my side. I tend to do my homework before asking.

And as for the avatar, I thought it was appropriate to fuck with some heads. Does give you a "Dramamine Moment", don't it?
