Purple Sap?

I just topped all my White Widows (put the tops into ph'd water and on 12/12 to sex) and I had a few plants, that, as soon as they were cut, oozed purple sap...and I mean super purple, and fairly dark. Even more so before it dried (the picture is dry). Any idea what's with that? Most oozed a clearish-green. The plants look healthy and all, are in soil, and are at about 45% rh and 75°, about 50 days old, and are 12"-15" tall (issues early on stunted the growth for a while, but all is well now growing about half an inch a day.)

"Wgen i get a new batch oflf seeds i usually grow out 40 12/12 from seed. See what i kike best, reveg and keep them as moms. Irlt works great. Maje sure yiu dont water before chop, there not s much foliage obviously to transpire, trimmung roots can help, the pressure otherwise will cause guttiation (sp?) Lol

it's just plant fluids, sugars pigments etc.. "When there is a high soil moisture level, water will enter plant roots, because the water potential of the roots is lower than in the soil solution. The water will accumulate in the plant, creating a slight root pressure. The root pressure forces some water to exude through special leaf tip or edge structures, hydathodes or water glands, forming drops. Root pressure provides the impetus for this flow, rather than transpirational pull.Guttation is most noticeable when transpiration is suppressed and the relative humidity is high, such as during the night"...or after reveg it can appear.. if you cut the stem it may ooze through the same process

here's a girly I revegged and it leaked, some gnats found it attractive too

Read up on topping and training such as LST etc. Your yield will be far better. But they look healthy and that is the most important.

Yeah, I've looked a fair bit at all of that stuff. Later batches will hopefully get super-cropped, and I'm toying with the idea of lollipoping too. Mostly the topping was for the sake of height for my small areas for this. I had just never heard of purple sap from a cut.
