So we now are at a point in the USA, that a child must carry an AR-15 around ? Is this Somalia ? Are you seriously signing on to this ?

When you look at NRA rhetoric, it sounds like they are saying everybody must own a gun. I can see giving guns at a baby shower along with cute little baby bibs. Maybe S&W should make blue and pink derringers. It would sure look cute in the crib, right next to the rattle.

No, I say the two can`t be compared. The Somali can`t have that gun in all States. The Texas girl can. Maybe in Samolia she can have that gun but if she shoots it, it will hurt her/him or fly away or who knows, that gun likes to ride up full auto.

Nope, gun owners and their lobby are always saying that the country would be safer if everybody owned and carried guns. Maybe they should sell tiny toy guns with a pacifier at the end of the barrel. This would give the little ones practice for how hand guns are most often put into use in this country.

Seriously, do you think its a good idea to give babies access to guns? Tossing you a bone, I'd say to pool owners they should put up barriers to prevent babies from accessing the pool without adult supervision. Its a requirement in many areas. Why not require people to lock those guns up?

Getting back to the original thread. I think that by their strident assertion for more guns and more people using them or at least carrying them about (same thing) in the face of high rates of gun deaths*, they are going to force the majority in this country who, by the way don't own guns, to think hard about less tolerant regulations for ownership. I don't want that but if the majority of gun owners don't do something to reduce "accidents" and other mayhem from their favorite toy then eventually stricter regulation will be imposed.

Start locking those weapons up. Truly make gun control hitting the intended and valid target every time. And my complaints will go away.

You sound like you might want to actually fix the problem of fucked up people using guns to do bad.

Would you support a legislative policy such as, "use a gun in the commission of a crime the death penalty".
