Seedling/Germ advice

I've just germinated some seeds. They're ready to be potted.

Should I pre-water the soil then add the seed, or should I go ahead plant and then water?

Some people say the coco coir should be sitting out for a few days in a warm enviroment for it to be ready for the seed. Can I just go ahead and get the coco mix it with some perlite and throw it into a solo cup? Should the soil be, damp, moist, or fully drenched?

And should I add light or wait, and just keep them in a dark warm cupboard for now until they sprout?

Nobody has fully answered my questions before, only choppy advice at best. If anyone with advice for coco can help it would be.... much obliged? Appreciated, ah forget it.. Thanks :)

I should make another thread for this part but i'm a lazy stoner with the skills of a retarded kid riding a unicycle

nutrients. I have Canna Coco A+B, PK 13/14 & Cal-Mag. When should I start to introduce these?

nobody has answered my question yet. I'm new to growing, and I don't want to screw up anymore seeds. Since my last seeds just rotted died, and did nothing.

can you quit talking about this twin bs and give me a hand.

So taken seed stick them in a moist damp paper towel in a dark place for 24 hours maybe longer. Once the seeds Crack and the tap root is exposed take a pencil pen finger and make a hole.on the soil .5 Inches deep drop seed into hole. Cover it with a lil soil (sprinkle the dirt on top or jiffy pots etc) add light and watch it grow. Don't soak the seed when placed in soil. If you have never popped or grown from a seed I would highly recommend learning the basic on regular plants instead of Marijuana. It will help from getting discoursged. There is a search bar just type in seed germination and I am sure a shit ton will show.

Not trying to be rude here, but I didn't title my post "Check out who has the same avatar/picture" I really could care less, I just wanted help with my first grow. And so far nobody has helped me out with any answers. I thought this site's main purpose was to help other users...

As for light I have no idea when to start introducing it to the newly planted seeds.

I have 3 newly planted RoyalQueenSeeds "AK Royal". I'm about to put them root up into small plastic planter pots. With a mix of Coco coir professional plus and perlite.

I only have a 400w MH & HPS light system with a wing reflector / My entire grow tent is mylar.

Should I put the pots under the MH light's for now, or wait a few days until leaves grow in? Or just keep them in a dark cupboard under the boiler with a ziploc bag over the pots - Unless thats not necessary, I have no clue.

But thats what I'm working with. I should add the grow tent is only 0.8 x 0.8 x 1.8. Think I can fit another plant in there? Thinking of doing the ScrOg method, may not be big enough

Well if you just put seed into soil then I would use a smaller light. Most use flouros. Mh would be overkill for babies and prob burn them. You could also use cfls to get them germ ed and growing. I usually wait until I am in gallon pots or so to put under mh

Where can I get some cfls for the seedlings, and which type? I've only been told the basics of MH for veg and HPS for flower.

Can I just use a desk lamp?

Yes you can get a 5k Kelvin bulb 100 watt or a 5k led. Also one bulb will get them to pop but need stronger lighting then just 1 bulb to get them past the germ stage. If you have money order a t5 fixture for seedlings clones babies etc. Once they get 12-16 inches tall or several nodes then place under mh. If you have or use amazon they have a 4ft 4 bulb t5 for ike 50 dollars and it's excellent. I have 2 of them and like them better the my sun blaze crap lights. I'll get amazon link if you would like.

Sounds good, yeah link me. How much should I be spending roughly? Already paid around $400 on the current setup didn't want to spend much more... Whatever works for the cheapest price is what I'm looking for, then I'll start to upgrade a few things once I get a few good grows under my belt

Could I just create my own light fixture with a few cfls? That would be a whole lot cheaper than paying out for a big t5 propogation rig
