Im pretty sure theyre larva, just checked on google and between the two picture its closer to that.. they're white and wiggle so im guessing its larva.. How do i combat this then guys:cool:

Yeah pretty sure its some sort of larva maybe spring tails in the soil not sure what im getting here! What causes them to hatch? is there anything in my control to prevent it from happening again because this could be a constant problem if im having to water and they like wet conditions

WOW thats like a mini forest you got going on there! How are you controlling temps in there? have you had any problems with humidity, mold or pest?.. would be interesting to know:bigjoint:

5th bootleg closet grow..no exhaust..no intake...drop ceiling,,took panal out of ceiling...1 heater...1 fan...its wintertime...dialed in at 73-77 degrees...no pests,no mold so far....couple knats here n there....grow big!!!!!

From Baby Caterpillar to full sized adult requires 4 instar phases and a short time as a nymph. Next will come the stage where the mother insect attaches the rippers at the back and the bucket up front. Then the father mails in the warranty card and viola, no more Baby Caterpillar. Isn't nature wonderful.

Spring-tails are your friends. Fungus gnat larvae are not and can be identified by the black spot on their head.
