First grow Carmelicious DWC

Alright, after about a year of searching, reading, and building up my confidence I finally got the nerve up and ordered some seeds. 10 feminized Carmelicious. Seeds arrived and germinated 2 so far in rockwool (which I learned how to do from here). I'm excited and don't wanna tell anybody I know (big mouths) plus l know imma need some help so here it goes.... They popped up on 1/14/16 and showing a small root on the bottom of the cubes which are in plastic bowls covered. Temp in the closet is about 75°F. How do they look and what's the next step from here?

I've never made a grow journal my computer skills are severely lacking. Im not sure if it would be moved or not. Carmeliciuos were the first seed I ever ordered from Amsterdam seeds about 8 years ago they were pretty good. Yours come from the same place?

Well not too much has happened in two days but I am wondering though is this enough growth for two days. Also there is a pic of my setup. Does anyone think I need more light. It's only going to be one plant and probably going to scrog. Thanks for looking!

Without knowing the ppm/ph of your nutrient solution which should be extremely low at this point, I would say by the pics might be wind burn. Turn your fan away from the plant a bit.

Thanks Krypto. I thought that might be it but then something told me to check my water. Sure enough cloudy water I went into immediate response change mode. Currently cleaning everything

Regardless of the PPM, your growth is not very good for 2 days, here is pictures of two days for my most recent sprout.



Hard truth in my opinion you have transplanted into the bubbler to soon and you are going to struggle keeping that seedling alive. Was there any roots out of the rockwool cube? How are you keeping it moist, assume you have water all the way up to the cube? Your seedling with suffocate in the rockwool cube since it doesn't allow oxygenated water to pass into it. I would check for root growth, if you are not able to see root grow, your seedling won't grow. If all of this hypothesis of mine is correct, your best course of action is to lower water in bucket till rockwool does not get saturated, Dome the seedling, and let it dry and hand water till you see roots outside of the rock wool.

Here is the same seedling you see above at 7 days(day before yesterday), transplanted into the Spray bucket, before it goes into RDWC system. This is the kind of growth you are looking for.

Wow... thanks GVMV. Yeah I think I may have transfered to soon. To answer your question I do see root growth but I think I had the water too high plus the water temp was way too hot. Not to mention I added the minimal amount of nutes to the res. Since then I have now changed my mind on going with dwc and I am now going to try my hand at a "hempy bucket". I don't wanna deal with water temp and since I already have the gh performance pack of nutes I think this will be easier. I started two more in rockwool and this one I might give to a friend if she survives. Stay tuned for pics

OK, so for anyone looking at this here is an update: transplanted her back into a cup with 100% perlite with a hole in the side of the cup (like a mini hempy bucket). Temps on the high side is 83° F and the low is 70° at night. Here's a couple of pics to hold you guys over (if anyone is looking). Oh also, is it because I tried giving it nutes too soon as to the yellow color on the tip of the leaves?

Well, as it seems I'm here alone here goes nothing. It's now 11 days since I almost killed her (newb mistakes) and for everything I have read as well as looking at @GVMV plants I'm a little stumped. I've done everything according to the hempy style no nutes pH at 5.8 temp did drop to about 75°F. If anyone is looking any advise would be appreciated. Here are some pics. Oh and by the way she is in 100% perlite.

Give her food, I do 200 ppm, your medIA has no food, people like to spout "no nutrients " does not work for hydro, soil has some.

Thanks @GVMV for the quick response. Will do but one question. Should I transfer to the 5 gallon now or wait? Also how would I measure the amount of nutes since she is still in the cup? Thanks again

You measure your water you are feeding with, I would move her to something that will hold some nutrients since perlite doesn't really hold much. Don't know that I would go to 5 gal, even my hydro I go through 3 sizes of bucket before final. To much media (not matter type) makes it hard to Guage certain things. Do you have ppm meter? If not 1/4 of whatever your nuts say.

She looks good, I think if you lightly feed her, she will perk up, bUT don't stress, she is no where close to dying. Smaller media amounts means you get to water much, more actual needed interactions, rather then hovering wanting/looking for something to do when should leave her alone
