hortilux Vs Ushio

Hello, Ive read some reviews about ushio being cooler than other lights, but some people say that they burn out fast. does anyone know which is better?

I've always had good luck with eye hortilux I'm running bulbs that have several cycles on them and should have been swapped ages ago. Still haven't burnt one out. I would estimate bulbs have 9,000 hours on them. Probably 2 years worth of 12/12. As far as cooler i would have no idea, never ran a ushio.

naaa bout the same. I just replaced my veg 600w with Ushio, had a horti in there before...light seems brighter with the Ushio. my hood is open, so i can keep the room warm , temps seem same

my shameful ass runs ipower, and I toss 'em after 4-6months, but I run a 1000w, 2 600w's, and I keep a 400w floating between veg n flower room depending on occupancy...

i was running the horti eye's blues, but it blew in under a month when i got an upgraded setup and a 400 watt digital ballast..
so far it's the only bulb i've blown in my digital...
i loved the results from them, but i'm not risking spending another $100 and some on a bulb and only have it last under a month.

Really, I've been running a super blue for years, literally the same super blue for years lol if it wasn't on i would check the date stamp. I wanna say sometime in 2012 is when I bought it.

Did you buy online ? Stores will normally swap you out if your a regular customer . I've been pretty lucky and never burnt a bulb. I might buy a few of the eye hortilux Blues this round and run side by side with my cheap 25 dollar bulbs and see if they do any better

was it in an enclosed fixture running horizontal?
