Do they get better penatration compare to t5's? I run a 600 in a 4x4, how many cobs would you think it would take to get comparable results? And what cobs do u have at what amrage?

4 CXB3590 @50W apiece. I can't say how they run, they haven't been in place long enough lol

Mine run very cool. Much cooler than the lights they replaced.

The shop light is about 4' long. My lights are designed to cover 3', so not quite as long.

300-400W of COBS will more than replace your 600W of hPS. Now, how many cobs that'll take completely depends on what driver you use to get what wattage out of each cob you want. You could do 8 cxb3590''s @ 50W using 2 hlg-185-1400's. Or you could do 6 on (2)240-2100''s at 73-76 w each. Most people though don't run them that hard (unless you use vero29's) but you'd realistically be looking at about 12-16 CXB3590S on 2/3 hlg-700mas. That give you 22-26 w a piece.
