I'd think CXB3590 @ 50w each would be a bit excessive in a space that small. 60cm is just just shy of 2'.
Just a thought, as I've only personal experience with CXA3070 and Vero 29.
Both. As far as the op is concerned if 2 gives the same or better spread at less intensity it may be better for the height of the space being used. Which brought up the question I asked because I am also curious to know.
Spread in this situation is not an issue. 40x40cm. Anything is going to cover the whole thing pretty flawlessly.
For theory sake...yes.
But no to this specific situation. You would actually be increasing the light by running soft, so the total light in the area would be greater and more for the plants to deal with...and it is already "overkill". Not a big deal in practice, just as the difference in the lights wattages in this situation is moot cause in the ende the total light in the area is about the same.
Distribution in an area isn't going to improve between the two one sided options really. And side lighting has no clearance no matter how you drive(too small of grow space), so overhead is the best option. And I assume, like all newcomers that just want a light and an answer. Less components, easy 1-2-3 and done. Can easily add more later. I see it as a better fit.
And the point I just skimmed over that needs to said(
@Atulip said) it's too much anyways and will need to be dimmed. Just helping run a higher wattage/lower cost system.
When 50w is being the hard driven option...you really don't have issues.
If we are talking about theory of the space. I would run one 72v overhead, and 4 36's on the walls. But personally think she needs more space around the plant to do it effectively vs purely overhead.
Twice the spread.. youd need 2 36vs for the same spread as one 72v. That's the only reason people would buy them, for a smaller space perhaps. Right?
But more cobs at less watts, gives you more canopy penetration if what I've read is right.
Just stop
