I look at it from the same view as those that are having the problem.....My closest "city" had a population of 609 in 2013.
Its funny that you think its a city I am not sure that should called a town. I have seen wallmarts with more people in them.

What is any different than a small business running another small business out?
A small business "running another" out of business is an example of better business practice and free market working.

A GIANT conglomerate empire swooping in and devastating local small business is an example of corporate greed, monopolistic business practices and non-competitive advantages at work.

Two VERY different beasts entirely.

You literally can't spell "Wal-Mart" correctly.

*Wal-Marts', not wallmarts

If you can't be bothered to spell the simplest of words, why should we be bothered to take you seriously?

Edit: I suppose they've recently changed from "Wal-Mart" to "Walmart". However, they're still incorporated as Wal-Mart. So that, I suppose, is still the official name.

Not to mention all the corporate welfare that gives them an advantage

When is a business no longer considered a small business?

I'm 100% against subsidizing farmers ( agricultural welfare) and I'm 100% against subsidizing Walmart or any other corporate parasites.... But markets change, you think I like selling lbs for 2800$ ? And dropping yearly.. Driverless cars will put every taxi driver, uber driver, bus driver out if work in 5 years.. You have to adapt or die.
Which Republican candidate in Iowa right now it's against subsidizing farmers?

Adapt or die, I bet amazon and eBay have stole way more business.
Amazon nor E-Bay "steals" anyone.

In order for something to be stolen, it must first be owned by somebody else. Nobody owns a consumer in a truly free market.

Lets say you are living on a fixed income...after rent and utilities you have a budget for the month left over to eat for the next 30 days of about 400 dollars....would you drive 40-80 miles to save 30% or would you shop local and eat less?
D. Grow a garden and eat Police dogs for protein

Walmart is such a leech company. They pretty much force their workers onto welfare and end up costing tax payers a ton of money.

How do they force workers onto welfare ?

Walmart does benefit from tax slaves and government protectionism.

They cut hours, they union bust, they employ workers at the bare minimum wage. For example, UC Berkeley estimated that WalMarts cost California tax payers $86 million a year. http://www.berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/2004/08/02_walmart.shtml
So, they set workers hours based on demand? Isnt that typical?
Bare minimum wage? Isnt that totally legal? And BTW, where does Walmart employ workers at minimum wage? I find this one sort of hard to believe.
Union Bust? So you are in favor of unions, higher wages and thus higher product prices? You demand to pay more? Do you shop at Walmart or do you just want the people who shop there to pay more?

I refuse to shop at WalMart because they have shit labor practices and they support sweatshops abroad. I'm not necessarily in favor of unions, but I can very well see why they're necessary and were around. If you're anti-union, you might have a mental illness - or you should just work 18 hour days, 7 days a week.

Well that's interesting. I'm not proposing force, you are though.

Makes me wonder about you wondering about me, and getting it ass backwards.
I never advocated the use of force to make WalMart do anything. I think they're just a shit business, with shit business practices, that sells shit. I do wish there was a way to make the company go under because they cost taxpayers more money in the long run with their shit labor practices.

If you're okay with that, whatever, that's your prerogative.

I'm very okay with you choosing how to spend your money. It should always be your choice.

It's good to hear you don't support government imposed wage structures.

There has to be some measure of control otherwise it's exploitation, which is pretty much what WalMart is doing. Unless you're all for exploiting other people...
