Here's my grow and smoke report of Starbud from Hortilab Seeds.
It was a fairly small plant, took awhile to develop. Not much stretch once switched to flower. Fairly low odor. Very indica like. Buds turned out very dense and sticky. Impressive quality, some of the best from any breeder I've grown. Comments from others were that it was too sticky, hard to burn in a joint. "Too much like pure hash".
- smelled of ripe bananas while flowering and after harvest
- plant yielded 94 grams
- bud to leaf ratio is average
It appeared to suffer from nute burn really bad during the last 3 weeks. The runoff did not show signs of being out of range though, and after I flushed it the burn continued up until harvest. Not sure what happened there, but it probably affected yield. I managed to self-pollinate it, and also crossed it with a blue cheese from RQS. I've got one of those crosses sprouted now, I'm looking forward to see how it turns out.
Smoke test in an ice bong..
Broken up buds smell like bananas and some type of citrus fruit. Tastes really good, like it smells. It has a really stoney effect, but does not sedate until it starts to wear off after a couple hours.
