Hey guys, I'm getting ready for my first grow and of course am very paranoid about all this...

so i ordered seeds with credit card from a very respected site out of england, which said 10-14 days shipping and it has been 2 and a half weeks since the order was dispatched and still i have gotten nothing

i am on the east coast and have heard of people on the west cost getting their seeds in less than a week

should i be worried and email the dealer or just give it more time

I'd be more worried about having that transaction on my credit card - it's not good to leave a paper trail. You are much safer using a money order or cash for any purchase that could suggest the probability of a grow operation.

If you are paranoid, you shouldn't use your cc. They are watching you!
Good luck with your grow!

If you do not get your order in a timely manner you can report the purchase as a CHARGEBACK with your credit card company.

When you CHARGEBACK a transaction you are in essance saying "I am not satisfied with this product/service, and the merchant has not done enough to make my purchase experience satisfactory. I am refusing to pay for this transaction."

The chargeback rules & regulations set up by Visa & Mastercard are crazy... and even if the merchant is found to be within compliance, they are still charged a retrieval fee (when the credit card processor looks up the transaction in their authorization and settlement systems) of $7.50, as well as a $25.00 chargeback fee just for the investigation taking place. If the chargeback case is decided in your favor, you get a full refund. If not, the merchant still has to pay the chargeback & retrieval fees. Visa & Mastercard don't want merchant's not supporting their customers... that's less money for V & MC to take from the cardholders at the end of the day...

Just some food for thought if you get the run-around.

Good luck.

I've had people try chargeback scams with me on eBay after they buy shit but I always got the money back and never had to pay any fees.

I'd be more worried about posting on sites such as this and surfing the internet, then getting busted because you used your CC to order seeds online. As a ex white hat, I truely know how easy it is to located anyone off the internet (Your more anonymous walking down the street then being on the inet). All I need is your IP, which is pretty easy to get. Your on a proxy? No problem (You need to be spoofing at least 3-4 hops to make it hard for someone to find your IP, which maybe 1% of these board users are, if that...)!

Cheers,
