Ok I know the true watts is not going to be 800 watts but I will be happy with 400 watts of cob for the price this thing is at $140.Has anyone experienced these yet.
Damn. I've been looking at that same light for several days wondering the same thing. Actually mentioned it in a thread last night. Impossible to tell. They don't disclose anything relevant and that should be a red alert.Damn. I've been looking at that same light for several days wondering the same thing. Actually mentioned it in a thread last night. The link.

Would like as many opinions as possible. I know the haters gonna hate. And. The DIYers gonna hate. I would like to see an honest objective analysis from someone who knows their stuff based on what's inside. Not everything China is bad. Pretty much all important electronics including the smart phones and tvs are made in China and they work great and are long lasting. Anyway. Thanks and peace and love to all.
I'm def on alert. But it's cheap enough, and like earlier poster said. You may always be able to upgrade the COB and even if only the case is good, it wouldn't be a total loss. I actually do have a couple of really older Blurple UFO's that still work like they did when I ordered them. One is from the company that is now Mars. Another is just a generic shipped straight from China. I completely understand price/quality. But, sometimes it is efficient to make that sacrifice. It's gambling. I'm just thinking on it for now and it will probably be months or longer before I actually pull the trigger on COB. I will go COB. At some point tho. Thanks for your input.Impossible to tell. Generally, these cheap COBs are a perfect place to utilize the worst chips. I wouldn't expect neither good results nor long life.
It's gambling and the pot isn't very high. And there's also much finer ways of gambling I'll spend my money onI'm def on alert. But it's cheap enough, and like earlier poster said. You could take the gamble, no glaring red flags besides the fact that they don't say what brand cobs they use.Damn. I've been looking at that same light for several days wondering the same thing. Actually mentioned it in a thread last night. The link.

Look at the SPD chart. Such a light would be pinkish at least.Well, it uses cree diodes and it's a white light. Even shows it in the picture that it's not blurple.
Their other models that aren't cobs use cree diodes but are red/blue 5w blurples.
No, the yellow cobs emit a warm white.Look at the SPD chart. Such a light would be pinkish at least.
