Mother Tongue is a hybrid made by Jinxproof/TGA Subcool:

Afgooey X Watermelon OG X Jesus OG Kush

I popped two regular seeds....both sprouted...both female...one turned purple (obviously)...the other is almost a blue-gray color. Apparently, there are a LOT of phenotypes in this cross -according to the TGA site....I was hoping to get a phenotype with the Electric Watermelon OG terpene profile....but the purple one smells like creosote and the other phenotype smells like black pepper...no watermelon...but I'm not complaining!

They are still flowering! (Day 74) I will try to get a couple more pics up today.

You can shorten your lights-on time to 11 hours to really speed up the finish on sativas. Adding a short blast of Far-Red before and after lights-on can also speed up the finish.

What week do you swap to this schedule and how does it effect yield? Only sativa doms? Sorry for the questions this got me intrigued with a strain I have that looks two weeks behind the others that should be 9 1/2 week finishers.

These plants look nice a crystally, but the buds look really small and the yield looks like its going to be very minimal. Makes we wonder if its the genetics, the lights or the grower...

Those kinds of yields can't possibly justify the cost of the grow

Purple Haze outdoors had a tiny yield but it makes my teeth buzz!

Yeah the buds on the Mother Tongue strain (both phenos) are small and the yield will be less-than-stellar in comparison to a lot of strains. I'm pretty torn up about it.

^^^Just FYI...That last photo was taken early this morning, outside the tent and nearby an Eastern window....the sky was very blue! I thought the plant looked quite nice in that light!

Well, the purple Mother Tongue phenotype was harvested five days ago (on Day 80). Here it is hanging:

As you can see, it was not a very productive phenotype....nor was I able to provide optimal growing conditions for any of the plants this run...but I think I will gain magical powers after smoking a bit of this in a few weeks from now when it comes out of the curing jar! Yes, it will get trimmed...and probably combined with the trim from its sister phenotype (which is taking forever to ripen!) to make some nice bubble hash -if there's even enough to run! LOL!
