i d k,, what kind of weight are 1k de's getting? a single 315 at the wright height can cover a 5x5 footprint(really stretching that light tho) like a 1k but no way hit the yield weights. my 2 315's got 800 grams over a 4x6 and couldve done better i shouldve gotten 900. so if that 1k is getting less than 1 g per watt, yes, 2 315's compete. all i can say for sure is even being new to cmh growers should easily hit the gram per watt, and as u get to know the lamps 1.5gpw definitely, also to note on my last run the 315's over the center of the 4x6 table produced good buds in my 5 gal dwc buckets on the side, so they are actually reaching a 6ft wide footprint. oh i forgot to mention, the cmh lamp take 1 week off your flowering time so an 8 week strain under hps is now a 7 week strain under cmh..

well, i havnt ran a 1k in years, i was running 2 600's. im doing the 1k now.

was making bubble hash today with clippings and was going through the bags, in the 190 micron bag, i usually throw it away and only keep the 90,78,45, micron and below,. anyways i tasted it as i thought the 190 micron bag was mostly garbage material,,i was VERY WRONG. after putting only a small pich in my mouth,, i continued my day.. after about a half hour i noticed my mind kept drifting, my life seemed better,my wife called and i spoke on the phone for a wile and joked and laughed(i never talk on the phone!! and if i do its normally short,and to the point so i can hang up!)), i smiled,i realized i was simply happy,,,but why? i wondered for a moment,,,,why do i feel SO DIFFERENT? then i realized,, my god am i high,,,NO, IM REALLY F ING STONED...lol
i guess ill start keeping the 190 micron and below from now on...
does anybody else use the bags for hash? if so what micron do you keep from????

LOL,,, I had figured it out after a few hours of contemplating last night.lol.. i was very high,, i get drug tested every 3 months, so i smoke for 40 days then take a 40 day break to avoid problems.. i get tested on the 28th of jan. i put the bubble hash in my mouth w/out thinking.. guess ill have to detox the next 2 weeks..
id really like to know what size micron bags most people keep when doing bubble hash? i have the 8 bag system going from 220 micron down to 25 micron and i usually throw away anything above the 90 micron bag.. now im thinking ive thrown away lbs of good hash over the years..
SORRY TO BE OFF TOPIC!! i know its a lec thred, and im currently running tests on them..i am currently drying the yield off 945 watts of cmh.

Sure no problem, just pm me so we don't hijack the thread. The one you're referring to was a SOG in my small LED tent usually reserved for breeding, nice pull in there, those strains produced well. I like LED COBs as well, pretty close between the techs as far as yield capability. I couldn't put one of these LEC's in a 2x2x4' space, it would burn it up - lol
This was that SOG you're referring to 6x 1gal, 3x THC Bomb and 3x Blue Dream clones flipped at around 10 days into the 1gal pots.

Really can't go wrong, they maximize your yields for sure. Haven't heard anyone complain that's switched to them other than someone who tried to put it into too small a small space. You need some height like 6-7ft. or so in a tent. Perfect fit for a 3x3x7'H tent.

Well I just went and ordered a transformer. I've got an old parabolic reflector, a 3x3x7, and some fabric pots with some organic soil I've also been meaning to try out. Hmmm now what beans to choose....

So, basically in a 4x4, 4 LEC's would produce great results all the way through and a target of 4lb per a 4x4 would be reasonable?I am assuming also 5x5, 4x6, 4x8(kinda thin)
Basically, have been running the old HPS SE 1k's, and looking to upgrade to either LED or LEC. After reading for hours still can't make up my mind
The old philips cmh 400 when they came out do excellent veg however the flower on them was a bit weak...
