Will vegetating for longer mean higher yield?

I only vegetated mine for 20 days before flowering because I'm using CFLs, if i vegetated them longer so the plant had more branches (when now it pretty much just has a main cola, would I get more yield using the same amount of lighting?

II am not sure about cfls but the longer you veg the more branches the more bud tops, I fim or top my main branch so hormones go equally about branches, and each has its own rewards (fim/top)

It depends...the bigger your plant gets(longer you veg)...the more branches and buds like dude said....however the biigger a plant get the more light and space youll need...its tough too light up a four footter like mine with cfl's....but with a smaller plant that dosnt veg as long...the lights gonna hit the whole plant...its better to veg longer outside seeing as the sun hits all angles....the faster you flower the faster youll get harvest...so sometimes youll get more weed faster...My four footer grew so big in 45 days of veg that now its hard to give all bud site sufficent light....but if you gonna get some major lights its worth it....id say if your doing alot of plants flower early...but if your only gonna get like two females and have lots of space and lights veg longer...

yes vegging longer will raise yields but the longer you veg for the bigger your final plant size will be, so you need to take this into consideration in terms of your room size and lights you are using, if you want more yield for the same veg time get a hps for flower and leave the cfl`s just for veg.

personaly i would recomend doing 12/12 as soon as possible like 2 weeks from seed and do more plants. in a 3x4 i can do 25 plants. but i have a 430 watt. plants only get 1.5 feet tall on average, solid cola

yea thats the best way to grow with cfls, higher number of smaller plants with not much veg time, simply because you cant get the light penetration through the canopy with cfls that you can with a hps, i use 2 x 125w eco lite cfls for veg and they are good enough to veg 5 plants up to 18"-24" before they go under my 600 hps.

When you have your plants ( stressing a low number of them ) in the vegetative state longer, the chances of having a higher yield are greater. If you fim or top your plants then you can promote side branching, you are basically creating more areas of flowering points in the future.

11 days veg? u can not be serious. Barely get a joint out of that

I hope a those "3x3" are yards/meters and not feet cause 25 plants in a 9 square foot area seems impossible

my pots are about 4 inch square, i get about 1/2 ounce per plant. once my seeds pop or my clones root i put them into solo cups. then when they get thier 2nd or 3rd node i put them in thier final pots and 12/12.
i am going out today to pick up seeds and will be starting a journal of this method
