Dog attack!

I totally agree with this.i use reward based training .if he does something wrong I use use a high pitched sound to get his attention then straight into sitting or laying down depending on the situation then reward him with either bits of cheese (if he's learning something new) or cured bits of meat.u don't want ur dog afraid of training they should enjoy it like like a game.thats how thesis train drug dogs dogs all that razz but they usually use a squeaky toy or a ball or somethin.
My dog enjoys making mummy happy so I find training easy. I don't use treats continually but I verbally reward him.

What went wrong with that English family who had the GSD attack the wife? Do you not think that dog needed a serious boss from day one? Maybe regular classes would have put it in its place? Idk.

I'd be surprised if you thought I was a bit cruel or over the top for hitting monty if he takes a kids ball from them or attacks another dog. This for me is a big no no.

I saw another woman quite rough with her pitbull and I thought she was strict! However it tries to fight with monty and may need to be castrated if they can't kerb it's aggression. It always has a muzzle.

So I don't know? Women with Pitbulls and other strong breeds. Don't we need to be stricter coz they are so much stronger than us? My friend has a right time with her bitch GSD coz she didn't do the training.

I can't undo the work I've already done though. Which of course enables me to take him everywhere. On the metro, in the car, to the clubs. I've got it easy now.

Similar to mine then. I didn't know you had a dog.
I have two dogs. A Cane Corso mix and a purebred Cane Corso. The purebred is 15 weeks old and weighed 41.1 lbs at 12 weeks. The mix is maybe 2 years? and weighs 65 lbs. She was in bad shape when I found her.

So you rescued one of them? That's good.

They aren't on the dangerous dog list over here but many other breeds are.

How did you train yours? Did you ever hit them/ her for anything bad? Did you start the training early with the older one? Are they friendly with other dogs and people (the older one)?

I always liked to use a shorter, quick release traffic lead from Ray Allen or Morrco if I was in the city or would knowingly be around other dogs. I'd keep a longer lead in my back pocket.

This is what gets me seriously would of never posted a thread i would of waited couple weeks then month or so later i would of took a bat and beat the owner to vegetable state killed the dog and whom ever taken all Clothes , shoes balaclava's and nuked them
ops would of thought it was a isolated incident or you could of thrown a 1 /4 oz of cocaine or 8 ball of crack it be a drug deal gone bad
CASE CLOSED
A baseball bat is a piss poor weapon sure you may have got the guy pictured but I react really fast my wife jumped out to scare me I grabbed her by the throat and was a cunt hair from punching her in the face. Another guy runs in my door when I left it open for a second I grabbed his throat hit him in the ribs and through him out the door like "oh shit it was just you" lol. Waking me up quick also not a good idea.

Plus a bat all you need to do is close the gap real quick.

I reward her for good behavior, sometimes with treats, sometimes just praise alone. I yell at her for bad behavior. No, she's not friendly with strangers unless I'm there to tell her it's okay. It took her two weeks to accept the puppy. I had to separate them when I was away. I got the puppy as a companion for her because she was missing her buddy, my sister's dog.

The website looks amazing! I've got an adjustable length lead like slipper has. I keep him very close when we walk through the metro and on the escalators. Once in the park though he's off.

I've been bitten plenty times a wolf hybrib got me right in the face then the stomach and a Neapolitan Mastiff grabbed my hand and yanked and a bunch of Chihuahuas lol, never done more than dumped some peroxide and a few bandades. Damn sure never called the police but whatever we ain't all bad ass country boys. :bigjoint: I hate living in the city everyone calls the police I'll never move back to a city I'm a menace to society.:bigjoint:
Hell yes bro props for saying something i'm right there with you.. Exactly why i'm moving out of the city too haha. I'd love to see some of these people who are talking about poisoning the dog, beating it with a bat, etc. try to come poison or beat one of my 200 pound caucasian shepherds. It's different when they're trained to avoid food from strangers. Three armed men would have a hard time getting passed just one of these dogs.

That's the problem with the world too much coddling the weak and stupid. If you don't know the dog your dumb ass kid should stay away from it.
Agreed. People need to mind their own damn business.

---ALTHOUGH, I will say if the dog who attacked the OP was off leash and/or not fenced in, in the city that is irresponsible of the owner. People need to control their dogs as well, except the mention of muzzles and stuff like that is dumb as fuck if the dog is on a leash/in a fence, etc. I've seen stories where people jump someones fence, get attacked, then report it to the police. Like WTF! Something's seriously wrong with our society! ...Or maybe it's just me lol ehh good thing i'm moving to the country soon.

That's what happened. It WAS on a lead and he still couldn't control it. Usually he puts a muzzle on it. If you look at my first post you can see the owner wearing it like a belt. Still wasnt enough.

My BF simply walked out of a shop with a bag of sugar. It's was unprovoked and our dog was at home.

I'm literally delighted to see that the other brother has started training the brother dog in the street. That's a result. Shame it had to happen the way it did but if they fix their dogs it was all worth it and I'm pleased at their efforts.

I never wanted the dog to be destroyed but I had to take action, and it's worked.

Good deal, in that case it's different. I'm glad they started working with the dog, and that's unfortunate he got attacked. Just pisses me off seeing people say take a baseball bat to it, poison it, etc. Especially if circumstances would have been different like in some stories I see where people jump someones fence, etc. Most dogs would be defenseless in those circumstances. (Poisoning the dog/beating it)

Every dog has the right to defend it's home. However if my pit mauls a burglar he could be destroyed. They may be leniant as no previous, I just don't know.

All dogs need to behave on the street and be under control. The attack happened a few metres from where some kids play usually.

Annie was only joking when she said about poisoning it and the owner. She's like me, she actually rescues them off the street.

I'm sure these dogs can be trained and we shall soon see. I was so shocked when i saw the other brother doing training today. It's the absolute first time he's been able to pass me on the other side of the street without his dog going mental.

No i was talking about getting all the people involved from the pet side owner and any witnesses etc wife kids ???? @ gun point kneel down and a person imagine a heatlhy 200 pounder lineing up full swing back of there heads with baseballl bat ??? is what i was referring to..
Bullets leave crime scene evidence unless your using a high powered rifle and going to blow them up when they get hit like a 50 caliber would there be no evidence other then a mess of body parts
But that is just me when i been wronged and going the right channels nothing happens
i Can 100 percent Guarantee something is going to happen :)
THe most dangerous person in the world is one that does not give fuck about anything

No these dogs do not need to be trained they need to be shot with what 70 - 80 million dogs in usa your going to worry about one dog that has a attitude i say take him deep into the forest save your self the hassle either put a bullet in it or set it free sure it will not lastt 24 hrs ,,before its eaten by other predators

But i think there is more to this then people are telling i mean seriously doesnt not matter if the dog is on its property and bites you Guess what your still fucked and liable ..
for instance mail man , meter man , police walk in your yard dog attacks the owner is in do do ..
A kid kicks his ball by accident into your yard kid goes in to get ball ,,,, Dog attacks kid Guess what YOUR FUCKED
you know of there was a poll on RIU i would bet over 90 percent of members do not own property other then some out house they think they own or picked up @ a garage sale lol seriously
I mean there is a huge difference from having a pet and a Guard dog , or protection dog etc
there are insurances in place for just that HOME and pet fencing has to be in place 6 foot high visible signs and entrances locked so that know one can enter
So many rules and regulations its not even funny

But in one of the pictures earlier in tread shows a 4 foot fence in what appears to be some trailer park ?? or something like that ??
There is more to the story obviously cause i can guarantee if someone gets bite by a dog and cops are called / ambulance ?? the dog is DEAD MEAT legally from by law
