Nitrogen def question on fixing

Ok so I have a Nitrogen def that I need some help with. I am 5 weeks into flower and have got a Nitrogen def so I did my research and found that you can use fish emulsion, blood meal or salt peter to bring it back up. Now my question is how much do I use in 3 gallon and 2 gallon pots?

Soil is Pro Mix Ultimate Organic and nutes are Floranova and I supplement Calmag each time I feed.

You don't want to overdo it on nitrogen during flower. Scratch in a teaspoon of blood meal per gallon of soil and water lightly.
I top dress with an inch or 2 of worm castings if I ever show a deficiency.

Yes I feeding Bloom right now and yes I have the Grow also.

You could give a little bit of that grow to the plant, it has N in it...

I'm not familiar with floranova but in my experience you can feed the balanced base nutrients the whole way through. Just using the bloom might leave some stuff out, like N.

Once again, I've no experience with floranova, just saying my experience with other nutes...

Good luck, I hope your girl feels better soon

Your talking about general hydroponics - the flora trio?
If so, then yeah it should work. I use the exact same nutes

5 weeks if you got good fans i would give them light foilage making worm casting tea or some form of N that would be a imediate fix rather then waiting for plant to uptake her from the roots make a tea worm casting and foilage and feed into soil

Hmm, googled there
Flora nova is from General hydroponics.
I personally use the flora trio. The booster, grow & bloom.

Never used the floranova though, how would you rate it OP?

I've used the flora series, all three parts, grow, micro, and bloom, and also in the two part Lucas formula ratio.

I had good results, maybe the plants were too light green when I used Lucas, which is why I switched... Never used the floranova though

I'm wondering if OPs issue could be related to the use of only the Bloom part of the floranova series and if the issue would be alleviated by adding a little bit of grow to the mix?

I'll leave it on the table for OP to decide :-)

i think the biggest problem is people follow directions litterally and not read the plants needs when i used chem nutes when flipping to flower it be almost end of 3rd week before i weened off veg nutes
like week 1 Veg n 12 /12 Veg nutes ( Stretch phase )
week 2 75 percent veg nutes 25 percent Bloom
Week 3 50 / 50
Week 4 bloom till the end

Well, on paper it should work, id assume? I have used the grow & micro to boost the N.
Out of the trio, I have to admit I'll probably try without the grow seeing as the micro has everything I'd need anyway.

Out of curiosity, what medium were you using?

I've never tried the Lucas ratio, did you do it with the GH nutes?
I always assumed that was for more advanced nutes?

I found a floranova bloom review on THCfarmer.
I can't find anyone to fault it.

Legion, have you got an image of your plant? Are you positive it's a N problem?

I had always used rockwool cubes in hydroton, ebb and flow system.

No the Lucas system is extremely simple, and can be used with a couple different nute lines, IIRC. When using it with GH flora series it is essentially a 2:1 ratio of micro:bloom that you titrate into your reservoir until you reach the desired ph/ppm. Very easy system, indeed.

Yes, on paper, my suggestion should work but like I said I've never used the floranova so I wanted to stress that I'm offering a semi-educated guess...

We'll see when the OP chimes in

Hmmm, rock wool.
Something I've actually never used to date, always germ in the tissue & transplant to soil or hydro.
I think it's the fear of trying to get a seedling out of the Rockwool without damaging the root that puts me off.

I'm googling it as we speak haha
It seems more simple than it sounds, how do the plants react to it?
I've been using a nute called, superthrive in the veg stage. Could I run the Lucas while using it also?
It messes with the genetics of the plant in the flower though so I only run it about 3-5 times a grow

Yeah I know what you mean, it might be his strain though?
I mean, i don't know what he's growing & I haven't seen anything.
We're thinking a solution to a problem we are still trying to figure out

I would do this. If your using their bloom product just ad a half dose of grow.

I agree and find a balanced fert is best. No need for excess P and K.

Like 5-5-5 or 10-10-10.

Op,
Just add a half dose of grow.
