Dry Ice Bubble Hash!!

man today is the day, I'm finally gonna take my trim and try to make dry ice bubble from it..

couple questions, where can I get those little containers you get when you buy wax? or what can I store it in? and because there is no wet material does it need to be dried? and what micron bags should I do? i have an 8 piece 5 gallon set. should I put the material in a 5 gallon bucket and put the bag over the bucket or should I just drop all the material in to the bag and shake the bag itself?

use the 180 micron or higher. throw the trim and dry ice in the bag, let chill for a few min, start shaking onto a glass table. do 2-3 stages of shakes, the more you shake and longer you shake the more plant matter breaks down (this final stage shake hash is good for cooking). put the hash into a container and leave open for a day or 2, or slighly covered. stir every few days to make sure its fully dry. it can and will mold if left with moisture in it

so prob a stupid question but the smaller the number the finer the mesh right? like 220 is not the finest screen? and when you say 180 and up, you mean go lower in number? lol sorry brotha..

IM female. the lower the micron number the finer the mesh screen. Its just doesnt want to come out of the finer ones, I tried it;)

I like to make dry ice hash but keep in mind it can be a very dirty product compared to other hash methods. The dry ice will pulverize all plant material and eventually it will start slipping through the mesh. That being said, I can finish the whole job in 10 minutes flat and nothing has ever compared in terms of speed and ease.

The main thing is to keep your shaking sessions short. Put your dry ice and trim in the bucket and gently mix to make sure everything is frozen. I use pelletized dry ice to cover more surface area as opposed to a block which should be broken into small pieces. Put on your bag and do a <1 minute shake, then collect the pile. You can do a couple more shake sessions and each pile will contain more and more plant matter (lower grade).

I typically use the 150-175 micron bags. 200 and over will start to get plant material pretty quick, but your plant's resin heads really decide what will go through. I generally don't use anything lower than 120 micron.

There should be very little moisture in resulting hash unless you're using wet material to start with. How long have you had your trim? Is it cured?

I'll sometimes take the resulting hash and mix with 95% grain for a minute then strain through coffee filter and evaporate. It makes for a delicious oil. Not nearly as much chlorophyll/waxes/etc compared to using straight trim and alcohol because you've already removed most of it!

maybe like a month to 2 months. it's been in the freezer. dried the trim and then popped it into freezer bags and in the freezer.

I use the 220 mc bag. Use the pellet dry ice welders get. Shake until you start to see green flecks coming out... then youre done with that batch...

Wouldnt run it again with dry ice.

You could take the kief and sift it through finer bags to maybe catch some of the leaf though.

I dont. Im done with one pass through the 220. But i use the shake from that to make butter.

I ran two different phenos.. one was this purple.. and the other was this light green.. both northern lights trim..

the purple pulled this first shake of 3 out of a 160 micron..

didn't take a pic of the lighter first run in a mountain..

and here is like maybe 2nd 3rd shake from the green pheno..

ran 2 ounces, 1st ounce got me 7.3g
and 2nd ounce got me 13.6g.

how's the yield?

Excell2nt yield at almost 25%. I usually yield about 15 to 18%...

Maybe i should shake a little more...lol
