Anybody growing autos at 45 latitude?

I would like to hear from anyone who has grown autos this far north.
What varieties did well?
How long to finish?

I'm trying to help a grower in NE Vermont. I live in a much warmer climate so I have no experience with either autos or cold weather strains.

I live in Vermont, and every time I've grown outside, autos and photos, they all got mold or PM, or eaten or didn't have enough time to finish. Autos in spring and early summer can do well but it's so humid by the time they finish that bortrytis (bud rot) is always a risk. Frost is set in by late September here so not a lot of good flowering time.

HSO Lost Coast Skunk finishes up in less than 10 weeks. Could be worth trying but honestly, I think your friend would be better off growing Indoors.

yes they do well here in maine zero mold that Frisian get nice an purple done by oct 1 theres lot of stuff he can run just got to huntem out

On the 45th here in Oregon... they do fine outdoor just have to plant on Memorial week end otherwise it's too cold.

Thanks for the reply Beard. I have visited my friends several times in mid-summer and it did not seem very humid at all. They live pretty high up on a mountain, would altitude have an effect on humidity in NE Vermont?

They asked me for advice on an outdoor grow so my first thought was one of the fast maturing autos. Indoor grows are probably out of the question because they travel a lot and are often gone for a month or more.

I suppose it could, a good buddy of mine lives relatively close to me but on a much higher elevation and it's like a different season up there.
There are a lot of fast autos out there but don't trust what the breeder says.
Like I said before the Lost Coast skunk from Humboldt is the quickest one I've encountered

I'm down south, so I have never dealt with autos in that climate. However, grab you a deal tent and grow em like weeds.
