So I'm growing first time in coco. I had a little run off that the pot was sitting in. This caused the plant to show signs of being over watered. I have now raised the pots about 2" off the floor to correct this problem. My next issue is feeding I have been feeding small amounts twice daily and I am having signs of nutrient burn. Is this possibly caused because the pot was sitting in the run off? I did flush today and will be doing so one time a week.

Well hopefully I resolved the issue. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Water once a day or only when the coco is almost dry. Dont water When Coco Is soaking wet. What are your ppms of your runoff? U should measure ppm and be sure you empty all runoff water 20 mind after you water. You want to avoid stagnant pools of water. Bugs Love that!

What kind of nutes? And why are you feeding twice daily? What size pots?

No need to flush weekly. But you can adjust feed g depending on ppm. Each plant \ strain has a different ppm intake rate..

I'm using fox farm trio. I'm feeding small amounts twice a day. Ppm going in is 400 I have not checked the ppm of the run off. I will do that. I'm in a ten gallon smart pot. I haven't been emptying the run off although I will be from this point forward.

Yes measure run off. That's very important. That's how you tell how much the plant is feeding. Roots need coco to start to dry to spread the best, rather than sit in soaking wet coir.

This is what I do bose, feed them. Next watering, add liquid seaweed extract to your water and use that. Feed, seaweed, feed, seaweed. rinse and repeat.

I'm using doff's liquid seaweed extract, doesn't effect the ppm much nor the ec. It's good stuff, any liquid seaweed extract will do! :)

Oh, and measure runoff to 15% depending on how big your pot is. 3 inch pot - 15% anything above 7 inch 20% 10-12 inch upwards 25%.

So your nute mix ppm is 400. And runoff is 400? You're saying yr plants aren't really feeding much. So you're essentially throwing your expensive nutes down the drain. As previously stated by another.

How old are u r plants? Those are veg ppm #s.
